What happened to DM's knack of finding cheap players from lower leagues? Seems whenever he splashes out on a 'big name' signing they turn out to be crap.

Aye... he's a good player... but then again consider the level of the A-League. Mebbe would be similar to mid-Championship level? Not that I like dissing Australian football, just highlighting the quality of the EPL.

'84 FA cup final... the very first time I watched a football match on TV and the very first time I watched an FA cup final; the first time I was old enough to understand what was going on. My father let me stay up late at night to watch it... Was the first time I'd ever heard of Everton. Have been a supporter ever since.

I for one still have faith in DM. There are other clubs out there, with bigger teams, bigger budgets, yet are below us at the moment. We've had to struggle with limited funds for players, and a dreadful run in injuries, yet the form of late has been something to be proud of. Fair enough if we're at the bottom of the table, but give credit to the start of this year. I do agree on mr. BK tho. I've had a gutfull even from way over here.

You're right... hadn't thought of that. Tho I can't help but grin when I hear RS losing. Aaah this sucks. I guess 4-1 Away to Chelsea (I admit who are a quality side) is easier to stomach than any of the other 4-0 losses we've had against lesser opposition.

I hate to say... I think Europe is out of our reach at this stage... but we won't drop. Bottom half I say is reasonable given the start we've had.
