  1. Be interested to see how fit Rooney actually is given Koemans insistence on players having 100% fitness.
  2. My mistake, I meant to say overall play. I think the point stands if you take away, ALL that Lukaku has bought to the team we would not of finished 7th I try not to move goalposts too often, far too heavy.
  3. Quoting statistics from the Echo, you must be desperate. The article does not take into account his assists or part in team goals or his overall play in contributing to a win. Lie, damn lies, and statistics as Disraeli said, Congrats Haf you have become the Donald Trump of the drivel thread.
  4. Yet there are not nearly as many posts about any other member of our squad......... Why does Lukaku divide opinion in such a way? A question for the ages I think.
  5. Well I hope you enjoy watching us in the comfort of your home, I only get up to Goodison 5 times a year so most of my watching of Everton is done at home. At least you wont have to queue for the toilets!!
  6. Really if we take away Lukakus goals I doubt we would have finished 7th, maybe 10th. How many goals has he scored that won us the game or got us a point last season? Its not as if we had 2 or 3 players adding 10 goals each is it? He wants to play Champs league and who can blame him, it could take us a couple of years to get that and he wants to play for a club regularly in that competition. Players have short career's. You have a real problem with Lukaku, I get that, there are 74 pages of thread mostly dedicated to peoples rants about him, and I don't want to infect another topic with that disease. I respect your opinion, but don't agree with it. Anyway Welcome back Mr Rooney!
  7. Without Lukaku's goals where would we be. He has not slagged off the club, and has generated over £50 million in profit for us. Yes he has the touch of a alcoholic with the shakes at times, and can go missing in games but for his flaws he has been a vital member of the team who helped us get into Europe with the goals he has scored.
  8. Would mean that Jags and maybe Mori leaving. Dijk, Keane, Williams, with Holgate and Foulds as young cover. Would be the best center defensive group in the league.
  9. True, I think that's where you look at the personality of the players you are signing to make sure they fit into the squad. I think the players we have signed will fit into the mentality of the team Koeman is creating. Something to be carefully managed for sure.
  10. I agree, a big influx of players can cause disruption to a club, but we have a strong core group of players that will hopefully help the new arrivals gel. The club is good at settling players in. I agree that will be a test of Koemans management skills, but at least the majority of the signings have been done early so he has a chance to integrate them.
  11. We need the positions filled tho. We don't have cover for Baines if Garbutt is not an option. We need a replacement for Lukaku, and another creative attacking player as Bolasie will be out till the new year, and we will be signing Rooney.
  12. We will be signing at least 4 more players. Rooney Sigudersson or similar - Grey from Leicester for example. Back up left back Striker to replace Lukaku, who will be a proven goal scorer. Rooney will not be able to play 30+ games Sandro will play across the top 3 We will need a top striker to lead the line, if not Giroud then someone of similar stature. If we don't then all the signings we have made will be for naught as we wont have a striker who can get us 20+goals a season, which is what we need.
  13. Men's team not the only one getting some reinforcements
  14. My favorite true-ism "Nobody ever went broke underestimating the taste or intellect of people" - W C Field.
  15. Confirmed now. Watch the video http://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/everton-transfer-news-sandro-keane-13271608
  16. Don't want an unhappy player in the camp, plus saving 125K a week on wages.
  17. Having thought about it there a quite a few positives: 1) Loan for a year so not saddled with him if he fails. 2) Half his wages paid by Utd. 3) Will have a point to prove to Utd, Everton fans, and England manager so he will be motivated. 4) Still has a great range of passing and can create chances. 5) Will be a great role model (footballing not personal). 6) Great option to have considering we will be competing on numerous fronts this season.
  18. I have a feeling this guy is going to light up the league, made up with this transfer window.
  19. Doesn't have to be Rooney, could be someone else, he said while clutching at straws.
