Agree Not till he has a season under his belt He is a Koeman type of player, lots of energy and pressing, good technique, likes to pass the ball forward. With Europa and the likelihood of McCarthy leaving he will get his chance.

Played well today, just seems to have that ability to beat a man and head for dangerous areas, He also seems to link the play well. Cool head as well to finish off the chance. I think I am beginning to see what Koeman and the team see in him.

Having seen him play today and a few other bits of the U20 world cup, I think he can make the step up and be the back up to Seamus. The play time he will get will really aid his development. He could be our future right back.

No, he hates life in the UK, especially the weather so moving from relatively sunny London to Liverpool is probably a non starter.

I am a Barkley fan, and I hope he re-signs. For a player of his ability I think £100k - £120k a week is about right given the current market.

We need to sign winners and despite his lack of pace and mobility he is a winner. He still has a great footballing brain, passing and creativity. I was against re-signing him but the more I think about it the more about it I believe it would be a good idea for 1 or 2 seasons.

True, there are 3 mini leagues. Top 7, bottom 6 and mid-table 7. We are in the top 7 part although at the bottom of that league, and looking to move up.

He is going to Chelski, I think the agreement was reached a couple of weeks ago, judging by the noise about Costa going to China re-surfacing about that time. He wants Champs League, is a Chelsea fan and he fits their style of play under Conte. It might also account for the team playing with less intensity knowing that he is off, that and the fact we cant get 5/6 and cant be caught for 7th.
