  1. I can't help but smile watching how happy he is when the ball finds the net. Can't wait to have him back on top form. If he reaches the heights of 07-08 we may still have a look a top-half finish, and maybe, just maybe a Euro spot, maybe.
  2. Pienaar was great today, but I'd have a hard time saying any of our boys were bad. Yak's finishing could use an extra dash of class, and Nevs crosses should just be barred, but other than that a decent performance from all of them. Like has been said, a good result away and if followed by a win v. Brum we'll be looking a little, tiny bit brighter.

Bily sub was a bit suspect, but in his 5 mins I saw him make more runs at Fulham players than he did all last season. Would like to see him come on for Cahill next week around 65/70 mins, give him a real shot to make a difference and score a blinder with that left foot.

Wasn't a bad performance today, but after 6 win-less matches a good performance, pretty link-up and a draw is not good enough. Need to see two strikers up top next match. It won't happen if Cahill is fit, but we ought to go for it against Brum, even with 4 in our midfield we should be able to boss possession and Beckford needs game time with Yak, who was looking all day to play through to someone. I think they could be a good partnership as Beckford is always looking to receive through balls. Sucks to be bottom, but not as pissed as I was about the last two matches. Today the result was on the players not on Moyes. He got his selection right today.

bottom of the league it is. I mean fuck, if WBA can find a way to put 3 past Arsenal, surely we can pip one against Fulham. The boys played well enough today, but I'm getting sick of seeing good possession and run without any hope of a finish. If points were awarded for passes completed we'd be top of the league. Anyways, shooting practice for Yak (and everyone else) all week.

  17. Two days gone and I'm agreeing with you guys; I spoke too harshly and too quickly. Moyes still deserves to be severely questioned as some of the mistakes he's making currently are elementary at best, however calling for the ax was too severe. Please, Moyes let's see a decent formation at Craven Cottage this weekend so I (and many others) have reason to hope you're beginning to learn from your mistakes.
  18. I meant what I said. Moyes' managerial tactics have been the reason we missed out on Europe, the reason we were played out of Europa, the reason we had a shitty pre-season schedule, and now the reason we've taken 2 points from 15. Simply saying, "aw, well a little luck our way and we'd have had it," is bullshit. Good teams finish games, and when they don't the manager needs to make a change, sooner rather than later. Distin shouldn't have finished the Utd match and he probably shouldn't have been handed the start this week (although he was worth his weight today). And then today's match...at no other moment has Moyes' thick-headedness been so blatantly apparent. Now, with his full squad Moyes has to make decisions, instead of having them made for him, he's not once proved he can make the right decision, even the draw v. Utd we were shit in the back and changes should have been made. And going forward, we may have had 23 shots, but less than a third of those were on target or really had a chance of going in. Moyes should have made changes sooner, and that's the story of his management style for the past year, making changes too late and not having the vision to foresee and deal with problems even infants in the stands see coming. I hope he proves me wrong in the next couple months and that we storm back to the upper-echelons of the league, but unless he changes and plays the best players in their best positions (something every fan could do) it won't happen.
  19. I didn't intend to imply that we did. I was trying to say, look we played pretty footie for the first 4 matches and for 3 of em could make the claim that luck just wasn't ours. Then we played well enough going forward against Utd, and horribly in defense. But today we played shit, i meant to say, at least the first 4 games inspired hope, albeit misplaced and baseless.
  20. I know where pretty footie gets us. Disillusionment. At least when we play nice and the opposition lets us into their third before stripping the ball it's fun to watch and we can simply say the result was bad luck or we just need a bit more class in the final third. Glad we were exposed for what we were today. I expect there will be a reaction next week and pressure on Moyes will ease, not from me, not until we win something and Moyes show's he's learned a thing or hundred about football tactics.
  21. I'm inclined to agree with this article. My link Always been a huge DM fan, but this year I'm growing very weary of his shit tactics and retarded selections. Seriously my dog could make more sense of the team than Moyes has this year. Can't think of any reason he should be kept ATM, past aside, what has he done for the team in the past year? No cup runs, poor selection, 8th place finish, meaningless preseason, 5 games without a win, negative tactics, and all while being more stubborn than a deaf ass.
  22. Coleman for me, with Distin and Yak getting a shout.
  23. Don't know what the ranting about Distin is all about today. He was shit last week, but today he was one of the best players for us on the pitch. He made some brilliant tackles and held up at least a couple counters while Jags got back. Surely 1 missed long ball can be forgiven, and 4 long passes hardly counts as a worthless dependence on hoofball. And I don't recall who said it, but someone mentioned Felli as a shout for being arsed today?!?! He was awful, didn't win a single challenge without immediately losing the ball. Howard- did well enough, can't be blamed for the goal. Baines- where was he? Again gave to much space and was sloppy going forward. Distin- deserves a shout for MOTM today, defended well and held the ball mostly and even made a few runs forward. Jagielka- was alright, don't remember any blinders. Hibbo- defended very well, would have preferred to see him stay on. Coleman (for Hibbo)- was our only bright spot going forward today and defended very well. PACE! my MOTM Pienaar- sloppy, but at least I can say Pienaar looked like he wanted to play. Heitinga- Worthless in midfield. He was absolutely awful, terrible, disgusting, abysmal. Contributed nothing but poor challenges. Bily (for Heitinga)- my faith in bily is waning. I still want to believe he can be the Bilyaletdinov of the youtube videos we've all seen. who knows, but he didn't do anything except take a couple throw-ins and loose possession in the box today. Arteta- sloppy, slow, bad captain. Fellaini- went through stages of disinterest and heart, however was sloppy all day. Not an advanced midfielder and I'm baffled that, after dec-feb last year Moyes thinks to play him there?!?! Osman- Awful today, missed one sitter and wasted two other chances, didn't offer anything original to Coleman on the right. Beckford- was fine for me, needs to be played in a 4-4-2. he makes great runs and had a shout for a pen today. would have preferred to see osman off and play him and yak up top, they could be a good partnership. he's still got potential for me. Yakubu (for Beckford)- Played very well, still looks a bit heavy, but it doesn't affect his play. gets a shout from me for MOTM and with a goal it would have been his. Moyes- abysmal. today, more than any other day I've seen showed how awful a manager he can be. It's weird, I'm usually a huge fan of his and have, on occasion called him the best manager in the prem save Fergie. But he's proving me wrong every week. Luck has nothing to do with it anymore, we need to win next week. If we don't comprehensively destroy Fulham, or at least scrape out a win in extra time, Moyes needs to go. He has assembled a brilliant squad that any other manager would be proud to have, but he clearly has no idea what to do with them now that they're all fit and he must make actual selections.
