  1. Given this match is to start at 11:30pm here in Aus on a Sunday, if we play anything like last weekend I'll be putting more emphasis on getting a good night's sleep rather than sitting up till 2am hoping against hope for the team to turn up. I can't believe how people being paid so much can turn up to work and look so disinterested... perhaps they'd be happier trying their hand at some plumbing or building work or even some IT work sitting at a desk for most of the day indoors looking outside at the sunshine (might not apply to England weather) only for it to rain on the weekend?
  2. Good, hopefully just a rumour, it's bloody stupid to get violent over a game of football...
  3. Nice to hear Mikel still texts regarding everton matches
  4. I've read some reports on a redshite forum of some afters.
  5. Coin/Bottle throwing we can do without, even though Suarez is a biting little cunt.
  6. Looking forward to BF3, downloading the beta now.. FIFA12, hard to get used to Tactical Defending, I'm being absolutely shredded by most teams, though I'm now down to drawing/loosing by only a goal or so... can no longer put the foot in like 15times and the biggest thing is when the game autoswitches and the O press that you were using to try and jostle the attack ends up with the switched player tackling thin air and thus being out of position lol.. should make for more fun FIFA nights though because defending was too easy with 2 players holding down the X and O buttons (player and AI pressing attacker at the same time).
  7. And to think I secured exclusive use of the living room TV for that.... we were screaming for Drenthe and a Striker well before Cahill injured himself. Complete crap for their second goal, both center backs froze like they were rabbits in Silva's headlights!

Indeed, Bily's little one-time passes have been hitting some, others are left flat footed, thought ossie should have been up for the header when Bily lobbed it in.. I'd take Coleman off, put Bily on the right and Drethe on the left. Felli's a bit off, but let's see 2nd half, they are there for the taking and we're pissing into the wind.
  9. Well it's a big decision and I'd think that he'd have had a long discussion with the wife and other advisors... let's also not forget that the original big was rumoured to be 5mil and perhaps at that price Arteta wouldn't have pushed it through??? Who knows..
  10. Fair enough, I'm reading in places that it wasn't an official request just that the move interested him/he wanted to go.. Wonder if he'd have gone had of Tim Cahill not been stuck here in Australia and able to pester him in person lol.
  11. I know what you're saying I still hoped and prayed every time he took a free kick that he'd produce something special like this... Love the shot of the balls change of direction at about 0:56.
  12. I don't want to think about that being true, it seems plausible given our situation. I thought Phil McNulty tweeted that Arteta had put in a request? Also Moyes stated on the official site regarding Arteta's desire for CL etc, but know knows? I'm a bit gutted either way because I don't have confidence that the financial situation will change over the course of the year... who will be sold in January and will it push Moyes over the edge a la MON?
  13. Just got an e-mail regarding pre-order, looks like that collar is velcro and does up, I was worried that it was permanently ajar but will probably order this when the time comes.
  14. ^ I think it's because the broadcasting rights for the matches are the property of the league to sell and not the individual clubs. There's a breakdown of how the money is then distributed to the clubs, I think there's an equal share as well as payments based on finishing position and a few other factors.
  15. If we don't sell him then he must be played... and not for the bloody reserves!
  16. He should be in the first team, same with the Yak... wtf, it does no good for our youth who should be playing instead and it's laughable that players on their wages are fit and ready and still play for the reserves due to some dummy spat... does my head in.
  17. I'd have no problem keeping him if he did start to produce.. but if he starts to become like a chicken that eat's it's own egg then we'll have to get shut of him..
  18. LOL, your last reason makes no sense, this is Everton!!!!!! We don't buy players to play in their natural positions!
  19. It's come from nuclear submarines, where there's a safe limit for the turbines but in cases of emergency the captain orders above 100%... but it really means they're normally running at 80% of maximum, err effort. so, giving 110%, would imply that you're going to wear out faster
  20. ^ truth, but we being Everton fans get our hopes up, and ready to be dashed..., at any whiff of news that seems remotely plausible.
  21. It's not like buying something from a store with cash... agreements would be signed in advance of payment.
  22. Hmm, Vaughan's been gone for some time now and Yak has been seriously injured once, was progressing somewhat then sent out on loan.. I don't hold any hope for Victor becoming a star striker, so if we could get some money in towards feeding the Yak then I'm all for it
  23. Thankfully shipping to Aus is not that bad and our $ is nowadays much stronger against the £. I'm disappointed that I stopped receiving incentivizing e-mails, ie: spend £30 get £5 off... that used to help a little, I'm probably going to grab the Home and Away and then get the 3rd Kit when available, cause from memory it takes a fair while for the 3rd kit to be revealed.
  24. Would reserve judgement, but would prefer not to have to reserve judgement...
