  1. I'm surprised you lasted as long as you did!
  2. Oh someone corrected the name? I was waiting for the smell puns to start!
  3. Having a fraction of the land size is a much more simple thing to deal with to be fair If you think creating a $144b global company whilst constantly running a loss isn't a success story, I don't know what to say.
  4. Some are some aren't. Trump is just a symptom rather than being the root cause. If it wasn't him it'd be some other nutter like De Santis
  5. I have done many a time. With the locals, it doesn't really come up so I treat them on face value.
  6. Ok but the parent company hasn't. In any case the point you were making was the bottom line is the most important thing. I'm saying it's not based on that 1 of many examples where companies habitually lose money before either they turn the corner and finally achieve their vision or go bust.
  7. Everton 7-0 Sheffield United Doucoure
  8. https://www.theverge.com/2024/2/8/24065999/uber-earnings-profitable-year-net-income No, I am correct. They've not posted a profit for 15 years, but their market value has always increased. Brand and vision have carried them to this point. I would've thought, and from what I've seen from entrepreneurs, is that businesses often run at a loss but are backed on their plan.
  9. I used to think so but I married into a republican family and they're lovely for the most part. So I'm trying to make the distinction after my trip to Florida because the people were very polite and friendly.
  10. Depends on how much the loan fee is to be honest. Works hard but loses the ball too much
  11. Uber just recorded it's first profit in 10-15 years (can't remember which). Bottom line is important but the vision and mission is the most important.
  12. Not really. Just treat them as a little nuts and go from there. Politics do not define a person.
  13. Surprised that Fallout hasnt, well, Bethesda'd itself and is well done so far. Even the wife is enjoying it!
  14. It's going to take 20 plus years to undo the Tory shitshow (again) so in the next 5 years if he can put things in place to stabilise the economy and improve GDP per capita and start to dismantle some of the easier flagship policies of the Tory's (Rwanda and the small boats issue is fixable over a month with some basic commitment and a spine), for 5 years is quite middle of the road. Strategically it also means he can show conservative voters that the cunts aren't their only viable option.
  15. He's a lot more middle road than the Cuntservatives. I'm just hoping for 5 years of not utter embarrassment and incompetence, don't care if it's pretty. Let him steady the ship a bit and hopefully next time around we'll have a bit more (relative) stability.
  16. I think 5 years of a middle road is needed to be honest. Much like Everton needed some structure that wasn't always going to be pleasant to watch, Starmer is Dyche for the country.
  17. Sorry, heard the first 10s and had to stop, not my cup of tea. Transpose it to an 8string and slap a pitch shifter on it and I'll be waiting
  18. https://youtu.be/VkefUUQzshs?si=fi4CmsEh3lvaGlLR 2 min highlights.
  19. Thought we were ok for the most part, all things considered.
  20. About as expected so far. Their goal was very well taken, but we've controlled the game for the most part. They're gonna have to go all out now though, I expect us to park the bus and counter.
