  1. aah! shame that, been missing your legal (and general) input on things
  2. good to see him back To be picky though, shouldnt this be in the Academy section (as with the U21 Premier League Cup)?
  3. how the hell?! Assistant got that all kinds o' wrong!
  4. bit difficult to kick on or be selected for the Euro team when youve been unceremoniously dropped by your manager. He may well have had his day, the truth is he hasnt been given a chance to show if thats true or not. You cannot judge a player on 3-4 dodgy games.
  5. 1. Atmosphere - whilst I dont get to go to many home games anymore, its always the thing that sticks out the most for me. Theres the initial couple of minutes at kickoff then maybe a few random chants but the only real noise is when we score or if something is going against us. Very disappointing for the most part, but when there is noise, its incredible. 2. Badge - hate it. Though it did give me the impetus to design my own which was fun, and at least the Club reacted well. I just hope that they've learned a leasson. 3. For as long as I can remember, the away fans have had that corner. I understand from a welcoming point of view we could find a better place, but that has 2 downsides: a ) Everton fans would have to be displaced b ) who wants the away fans being that comfortable anyway, that will only help the opposition team! 4. The phone call you refer to (assuming it did take place) was reiterating the same news that had been communicated throughout the day on SSN. Its a sign of the Club communicating with its fans, which is not something we are used to and have been demanding for a long time. Step in the right direction in my opinion
  6. that was the beginning of the end for me. Good album but not a patch on the first 3 for me
  7. if you know your history, you'll judge a player on his 4 years at the club (including a player of the year award) rather than a few examples were he messed up... http://www.evertonfc.com/news/archive/2012/05/10/proud-hetinga-is-best-player Heitinga was rewarded for his sustained excellence at the heart of the Blues defence with thousands of votes in a poll on the Clubs official website. Seems the man summed it up perfectly too: "It's always good if the fans like you, but you know how football is. One day you're a hero, the next you're not. So every game I play I give 100 per cent.
  8. agree with most of that, but to say Jags&Distin is the worst partnership is silly in my opinion...
  9. agree that it's time he left for his own sake, just amazed at how people have written him off, he deserves a bit of recognition. At the same time, I'd happily see him stay another 2 years too. I'd have him ahead of Alcaraz, but not Stones or Duffy because I think the team would benefit more from bringing the youth in.
  10. Howard, Distin, Jags have all single-handedly cost us games too, to name but 3. They were given the chance to redeem themselves, whereas Heitinga was dropped and ignored.
  11. Who is that Geordie commentator, he's so annoying!
  12. Greeting Jan, another Belgian to the mix
  13. so he was scoring on a regular basis....
  14. Am I the only one thinking Barkley should have it?! Yes he's young but he is a leader. He sets the tempo, sets an example and works his arse off for us. Jags is the logical choice but I don't think he's captain material
