  2. bet 365 saying 14/1 for a 2-1 Utd win, would be a repeat of last years game. Not bad offering there
  3. I know I say it nearly every week, but sodding Graeme Sounness...
  4. Im sure it will come (well, Im hoping anyway!), and Ive already held my hands up admitting im impatient. But saying its not that bad because West Brom and Cardiff setup the way they did, thats not an excuse for me. It was the same with Moyes, we failed to break down teams even when we dominated the games. Teams setup to negate our way of playing so we resulted in long balls (it wasnt as often as some believe) which at least gave us a chance of a ball breaking lose. It wasnt pretty but it worked better than passing it back to the 2 CBs in our own half. When teams setup to stop our passing, we need another tactic to break them down. Im not saying revert to hitting long balls, though there is a time and place for that, but we need something else. We should have had 9 points from these 3 games, not disrespecting our opposition. Youve quoted the stats yourself, looks great on paper but we need something different to turn 3 draws into 3 wins. Id personally prefer to go through the middle more often, but we need a player who can do that I guess. Wonder if Haf can think of someone.....

so youre saying, either cheat like the others or you wont get any decisions?
  6. Holy crap edit: that surely cant be real? anyone speak Korean here that can verify?
  7. Yes, very sarcastic since youve dropped his name into every post youve made since June
  8. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/entertainment-arts-23920336 Sir David Frost has died at 74.
  9. more proof that journos rehash old bullshit:
  10. 2 new players coming in today apparently, Sakho is going to be a great acquisition for them. Dont know about Llori though...
  11. Just for the record, I dont see either going and think one of the reasons Martinez is getting so frustrated, is that hes made his stance and the media are undermining him and trying to cause trouble.
  12. whilst winning is definitely the objective, it needs to be exciting too. Otherwise, whats the point in watching the game? Just check out the result at the end and you know if youve won or not. I dont see the point in winning if youre bored shitless throughout the game. Id say the game is more important for those reasons, but honestly I want both exciting football and winning. Greedy, maybe, but that what I want
  13. cant remember which one. I thought it was 15% of the profit but assumed I was wrong when Haf put 23m up :dont know:
  14. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/23915620 whats the odds on Di Canio being 1st manager sacked edit: just checked, hes favourite! Safe bet (if there is such a thing) http://www.oddschecker.com/football/english/premier-league/next-manager-to-leave-post

the point is that the first tackle was also mistimed but Baines didn't go down then... Savage said it was a pen, just that Baines was clever in getting it

the point was he could've skipped both.

pointed out that Baines managed to skip the first challenge but left his leg in once in the area. He said it was clever from Baines but still a pen. To be honest, I felt a little disappointment once I saw that

Was just watching MOTD, Baines pen analysis, and (I feel dirty saying this) but I agree with Savage
  19. think the 23.5m is after the 15% we owe to Standard Leige
  20. Excellent post, although I'm with Rubes - stats are great, goals and points are better. Also, it's seems that teams around us have figured out how to defend against the system - pile men back, which forces us back. I've never made it a secret that I don't like this passing style, even back in 2008 and 2010 when Spain won the Euros and World Cup respectively, I found it boring. Football isn't just about possession and passing, it's about goals and when Spain won the World Cup with a record low goals tally (Germany had 13 goals - and could stay on their feet if someone coughed next to them- against 8 from Spain) I lost all patience with the system. There's just no excitement in it for me. You have a point about Kone, he didn't really have a preseason so he may need a few games to get fit again. But the chances missed so far, we're not related to fitness and so the frustration is justified.
  21. im starting to think we have to have Everton in the badge somehow. Like it or not, we are not at the same level of fame as we were, say, in the 80s. Certainly nowhere near the brand size of Nike. Id even go so far as to say its only instatntly recognizable in the UK, I know here in Switzerland very few know who Everton are, even when I show them my wallet (which has the old crest and name on it). Happened in the US, France, Spain, Hungary and Germany when I've been there. Part of the reason for the new design was for marketing purpose, to make a clearer statement about our club. As sometimes Everton, over the last 10yrs it seems, has been left out of TV screenings which now more than ever, is getting more coverage around the world. We need our name out there, to reach out to new markets and new potential investors.
