He hardly disrupted the whole club. From what I've heard he fell out with the manager over there because he wanted to leave, which was put down to the major culture shock he had living over there. Which is very understandable IMO. Still not sure about him, be made up for him to prove me wrong ala Barry though! And midfield is where we need quality in numbers so I guess an international winger with CL experience for next to nothing isn't bad business.

Hope we're still interested in Berahino. Think he could be a great player and wouldn't cost too much IMO, especially if West Brom go down.

Sad to see him go but i just dont think he was a good enough footballer to fit into our system. I think if we do bring someone in it will be a fairly un-known from abroad. Maybe Morata at Madrid?

i dont rate him at all personally but i didnt rate Barry either. I'll trust Roberto on this one.

Particular gripe of mine as well Romey. I know its only been half a season but the change in the club as a whole not just the team in this short period has been phenomenal IMO. The appointment of Myers has been just as influential as the appoint of Roberto in terms of the club engaging with the fans. Not a week goes by at the minute that i dont hear that the club are putting on some kind of event e.g the whole spanish thing from a few months ago and this week 10 kids getting to go behind the scene's of various places on a match day, its great to see. Couldn't be prouder to be an Evertonian at the minute because of our performances on and off the pitch. I know what the OP is saying though. We have some great young players and hopefully in the future we will see more and more young players making their way into the first team playing great attacking football. Like Roberto has said perviously its the best way to compete against the big boys who spend Billions...Fuck em, we will go and make our own superstars.

At this moment in time he should be the first midfielder on the teamsheet. Gerrard is a concern with his injurys, Lampard is past it IMO and is injured. Carrick has been out for long periods of the season and again is an injury concern. Walcott and Townsend are both injured. Wilshire is the most overhyped english prospect there has been and is so average its frightening and has his own injury concerns. Cleverly shouldnt even be a premiership footballer, never mind going to a world cup with england. I think Barry should definitley get the nod as England are lacking so much in CM and the players available all have injury worries. 3 of them are 32 + (I know Barry isnt a spring chicken but atleast he seems able to stay fit....touch wood) Just read this again and it sounds like im talking about just Barry....I think Barkley should be first name on the team sheet and Barry should definatley be going as well....just to clarify!

Everyone used to moan if we had a player running round like a headless chicken but not scoring, we cant have the best of both worlds. Lukaku is a world class finisher, given the chance, 9/10 he will score. He hasnt had the service of late, simple as that. What chances in the last few games has he had? only one i can remember is the one last minute against Arsenal.

He's not had the service. Mirallas was Woeful yesterday and should have put him through a few times. Likewise, Barkley hasnt been as creative as he could have been. I dont think he had that good of a game yesterday (Barkley), obviously great goal but he didnt really create that much. Using the Newcastle game as an example, both Mirallas and Barkley got an assist to Lukaku in that game and I cant remember the last time Rom had chances like that since then. Its not like he's missing sitters every week. He does get in the positions but his service has been really poor.
