  1. haha, Well Said! Just watching the Palace v Sheff Wed game, and a player i've always had a soft spot for is Darren Ambrose, 19 goals from Midfield this season apparently, worth a shout in the summer?
  2. yeah because thats one thing Tottenham lack....Midfielders...
  3. Going to be a very tough game but im being optimistic and saying 1-0 to us. Also, watched that interview with moyes on the Daily Post website and at the end of that he was asked about Mikky and he started to mumble a bit and i think he said he isnt 100% we will see him again this season which is NOT good news :/. MIkel could prove to be the player we are missing to get into Europe and i think he would slice Blackburns Defence open like a Knife through butter if he had been playing today, but im sticking with my 1-0.
  4. I remember he scored a few cracking goals at Pompey, and like someone else mentioned he was a bit of a work horse. Wouldnt mind him here at all, i doubt there is truth in it though.
  5. My Bad, thanks for clearing that up, been having this conversation with my Dad since the Game finished!
  6. With Pompey in the Final doesnt this mean Europa league places only go to 5th and 6th? and Pompey going into it aswell? or am i wayyyy off? O.o I cant wait for this game because we always perform against Villa and they havent beaten us in a couple of games now, so im unusually high spirited about this one. 3-1 to us Arteta, Pienaar and Saha and Carew for them
  7. I'm Going to go with 3-1 to us. Pienaar,Yakubu X 2 And Jerome for them
  8. In - O'Hara, Another Striker (Vagner Love?) Out - Yakubu and Anichebe Just thought i would get back on Topic a Little
  9. I think we can Safely Say this isnt going to Happen I Would LOVE to see O'Hara here though, especially if we did loose Pienaar in the summer
  10. I Agree that they have all been "Passangers" this season, but it wouldnt be in the Moyes "style" to shift along 2-3 starting 11 players in 1 transfer window. I would like to see it happen, i just dont think it will. But if we could get about 20m for all of those players, i would be rather happy, but in todays market, we may only be able to get 1-2 players back in for that sort of money (Unless Davey pulls a few rabbits out of the hat like we know he can). And i doubt Moyes would want to shorten the squad even more.
  11. He is Traveling (Dont know wether this means he is on the bench or not?) But i think we are looking at a Partnership of Yobo and a Half Fit Senderos at the Back, which Tbh isnt THAT bad a partnership, More than capable of dealing with whatever they threw at us last time. Im going with a 2-0 to us.
  12. I never said he Had a bad game! Im sure i speak for alot more than myself when i say that without his Blind knocking the ball forward he would be a better player? Thats what i said!
  13. Im not "Bashing" Him, i just thought he didnt really offer much going forward to be honest, He didnt do any crossing of what i can rememeber and always looked to either lay it to Donovan or do one of his famous Blind punts up field. Dont get me wrong i think he is a decent player, take the Punts out of his game and he is a great asset to any team, take him out of our side and it would be obvious we would miss him (more because of his Leadership qualitys) he is still a big part of our club, on and off the pitch. I wasnt "Bashing" Him, just "Bashing" that part of his game, that really does get on my proverbial tits Im with you though about the BS Fergie gave about the Midweek Game <_< we were in exactly the same situation.
  14. Hmm a bidding war between City, Bayern and the Shite....who you think is gonna win? The Shite are worse off than us! Seriously Hope he stays though! We desperatly need players like peanuts in order to Progress as a Club.
  15. Great Performance Yesterday, our midfield has been awsome lately, whoever we have put in there. Peanuts again showing what a quality player he is (gotta get his Contract sorted), Donovan worked his arse off and showed what he can do on the ball (imo didnt do enough of that against Sporting, just passed at any chance he could), Arteta showed he was getting to were he used too be, obviously going to take some time. Billy again showing when he has been asked too play he put in a great performance, Did well too come in in such a Big game and adjust very well, think the time on the bench has done him some good and can hopefully keep up the Form he showed Yesterday and against Chelsea, Great too see we have a Decent bench for once aswell! i actually knew the whole bench this game!....was quite proud tbh . Saha, again..honestly couldnt get enough credit for what he does, he has EVERYTHING you could want a striker to have.. Pace, Positional awareness, Good in the Air, Strong... Am i missing one? He lan the line so well Yesterday, he even was back in our own half making a few superb challenges. Defensivly i think we were starting too look like the days of Jags and Lescott, Very tight and hard to break down. Thought Johnny again was Superb and Distin again played very well (Going to miss him in Europe) And Again Baines was Superb, great on the over lap and great defensivly. Only Downers IMO were that Neville kept blindly knocking the ball Forward (as per usual) i honestly thought somebody with his experience would be more used to 'Playing it Simple' and keeping the ball? Also thought the Ref had a Poor Game, Not 100% sure that either Appeals were Penaltys, but he also gave out his fair share of Bookings (all to our players it seemed). Arteta's booking was VERY soft too say the least, yes he had a niggle twice but a booking, for his first real foul of the game...VERY soft. And then Not 5 minutes later, Valencia makes a challenge on Osman right before he goes off, gets absolutly nothing but a word in the ear. Apart from that he was Great. Also, Gotta give great Credit to Moyes, great 2 substitutions In Gosling and Rodwell, both getting Goals! Thought Rodwell getting MOTM was a bit of a Joke though?
  16. Ohh, Apologies, forgot about Athletico dropping into Europa. MY BAD <_<
  17. Is Heitinga Injured? I thought that after the Group Stages Johnny was available?
  18. I dont Know Much about Defour, but i thought he was a completely different type of player to Pienarr, were Pienarr is always going forward, on the overlap etc and can play right across the midfield, and correct me if im wrong, but i thought Defour was more or less a Felliani but a foot shorter, okay going forward and pretty good defensive wise. As for the Topic, cant say i know much about the guy at all.
  19. To Be honest i have come to terms that it is VERY Likely we will loose both players in the summer, im more worried about Pienaar than i am Saha though to be honest, I just feel Peanuts gives us alot more than Saha...Just my Opinion. I new it would happen as soon as he rejected the first contract we offered Him (Pienaar) how many months ago now? and then i was reminded that it was a world cup year, and i started too piece it all together. Unfortunatly i dont think Pienaar is the "Loyal" type of person, and can see him moving on too bigger and better things . As For Saha, He is obviously a huge loss, and to replace his quality is going to cost alot more than he is asking for in wages. Really worried about this summer to be honest
  20. www.guardian.co.uk/football/2010/jan/15/paul-hart-queens-park-rangers Indeed He did quit. Apparently sick of the Dodgey goings on behind the scene's, like he didnt have enough of that at Pompey?. Can't really blame the guy tbh
  21. Wow...I love Your Ambition. I'm Sorry but there is no way you can compare Peanuts to Hunt..And CERTAINLY no way that you can compare Saha To Nugent :S Yes they would Give honest shifts and what have you, but seriously? I may sound like a pessimist here but i have accepted that we will loose Saha and Peanuts, Peanuts is waiting till after the World Cup to show what he can do and Saha is looking for a Final Pay day. Hope to God that Moyes can replace them (NOT with Nugent and Hunt!) but we need the quality they bring to the team. We loose them, and were gonna see alot more "Hoofing" at goodison this season.
  22. Birmingham Beat Forest 1-0 Tonight. Pretty Sure We can beat them this time round. BBC Homepage
