Have you read the article on L'Equipe? I have had a quick google and cant see anything from them about it. I dont speak French and I am not sure how easy it would be to find but I can't see it. I have also gone on the twitter handle for L'Equipe and I can't see it there either. It just sounds like BS.

Yeh it was a really great touch and turn, I suppose the disappointment was that he didnt test the keeper. It all came from a thump upfield by Pickford with Dom easily able to knock Anderson off the ball. He had the half chance with the header too (first half) which he tried to flick on rather than try and angle with power at goal but it was really tough. He bullied Guehi for that one who IMO is massively overrated. He is too weak to be a centre half. I doubt he will get as much change from Newcastle's CBs as he did from Palace's but even if he turns a handful of them long balls into possession, its a lot better conversion than we will get with any other centre forward.

Whilst I agree with the points they have raised, I am not sure going back and forth is what the club needs right now. I hope this will bring an end to it and we don't get another reply. The public war of words can take place once the season is over.

This is why our board should just shut up and not say anything. No good comes of communication with the owners and board of this club. The tone and construction of the statement itself is particularly astonishing. Its written more like a two star trip advisor review than a statement from a club official.

This is how I look at it as well. Whoever he puts in that position has more negatives than positives at the moment. Patterson has the most potential to make it his spot but he is a defensive liability as well. Godfrey had his chance and failed. Holgate has now done the same. I imagine it will be Patterson's go next week.

Id say in one word Holgate. He gave away any chance we had of really having a late surge. We had a foothold in the game and it had been really even since the 30 minute mark. Unfortunately Holgate fucked up any chance we had of doing anything but clinging on for the last 15. Holgate, Godfrey and Patterson are all different shades of shit. That didnt cost us the game. It was an experienced player who should have known loads better, who made a stupid decision.

I think that is a decent point against a Palace side who are in form and scoring for fun. The results around us don't help obviously but we are a point closer to Leeds which has to be our main target now. I thought the performance was solid enough. 1 big chance for each side. We lacked quality going forward, again not really building attacks very well. Garner played well, not too sure anyone else was really above average.

On the assumption Dom wont do the 90 I would have been more inclined to have moved Gray upfront and use his pace in behind and on the counter.

I think Guehi is weak so I would go with a Simms for Dom switch.

Im really not sure who. Midfield are more in this now. Its basically Maupay/Simms for Dom and a switch at RB, where the options are just as bad.

Iwobi has this reaction where he is like I can't believe I have done something so shit, but he does it at least a couple of times a game. He should be used to it by now!

Not a lot in that. Best chance was the set piece header from Palace and they have got into better positions than we have in the final third, working our full backs who have struggled. We have struggled in midfield a little but we did improve at the end when Gueye stepped up a little bit more. Gray needs to improve a lot. Dom looks a bit out of his depth at the moment which is understandable. Enthusiastic enough just not anywhere near the levels he can be.

Garner doing really well. I feel like he is holding this midfield together at the moment. Myko and Holgate are struggling.

Dele Alli has been shit for a long time and his case is clearly very different. Ridiculous.

I haven't given anything of the sort, I have only commented on the bits I saw. I don't argue for the sake of it, I just see people go way over the top on players and performances all of the time on here. Believe it or not, players that used to be half decent for other teams don't just suddenly become crap when they turn up at Finch Farm. If you can find anywhere that I have said he had a good game then please find it but there were some good moments in an otherwise bad performance. It's called balance.

I honestly don't know why they bought Maupay here. I think it was to be a second striker in a 532 formation but that was ditched within a game or two of his arrival. He has scored goals. He has been good at footy and he has been a pain in the arse. Is it him, or is it us? Thanks for making me laugh at the end there.
