  1. Very lucky... Coleman losing the ball too easily in a bad place.
  2. Completely agree with that second point. You cant really press as a team without pace at the back. If only Distin was still knocking around!
  3. On Valencia, his work rate has been excellent but he hasn't shown any quality in the final third (I started watching at roughly 25-30mins). In truth, no one has, but he has certainly worked his arse off for the team and that is what we need more than anything at the moment!
  4. Much much better. Work rate, aggressive, much better balance albeit our old boys at the back are dropping too deep and leaving too much space. I only tuned in after about 25-30 mins but I cant fault anyone. McCarthy & Gana are flying into tackles, running their arses off. I like the fact that McCarthy is giving people a kick, its what we need. That altercation at the end of the half wouldn't have happened in the last weeks so its good to see that we are trying to bully Arsenal, especially as they are week as piss when it comes to things like that. We need to show more quality in the final third. The one decent ball I have seen us put in has resulted in a goal! If we keep going like this we have at least another goal in us and Arsenal will start wilting like the delicate little flowers they are.
  5. Jags just needs to clear that. Almost half time, just get rid.
  6. If you want to be combative and aggressive then Gana and McCarthy are the best pairing. I love Barry but he hasn't got the legs for it.
  7. Get I'm! Great ball on his right from Baines. Well deserved from what I have seen.
  8. We definitely have Arsenal rocked... need a goal before the half time whistle.
  9. Barkley did well there and he is working hard. Plenty of work rate just no quality so far.
  10. We look much more up for it. Getting stuck in.
  11. I like the centre of midfield but I think it's harsh to drop Mirallas and Gerry unless he has an eye on the Derby.
  12. I think it's more than the manager is motivating the players enough to get that out of them. They don't get to where they are by being cowardly or lazy. I have seen each player in this squad fight hard but they aren't doing it at the moment. In my opinion that comes down to the motivation from the manager and the closeness in the group. In a tight group if one person shirks then they get stuck into and they will all work for each other.
  13. Sounds like the U23 have good comoradarie based on the articles I have read about them. Could do with that trickling through to the first team!
  14. It's bullshit excuses too. Physical players can be beaten. We have done it before and plenty of teams do it week in week out. The shite beat Watford 6 1 for fucks sake and they are a smaller team than us! Must admit I am getting fed up of his bullshit defeatism.
  15. That's probably more of a plan than Koeman has!
  16. Then why leave our most physical midfielder on the bench? Why bring in Valencia? Why bring in Williams who isn't the most physical defender available? Why go after Gabbiadini/Brahimi etc I get that Koeman more than likely wants more of 'his ' players into the club but he has to find another way to win games until then. We aren't even playing to the level we were in the first games of the season, let alone how we were playing this time last year with the same players. Regardless of the excuses Koeman may or may not have, he and the team need to do a lot better than they are doing now.
  17. Actually I don't want to know your answer. I must block this thread again.
  18. Easy work for AJ. Molina didn't want to know from the first bell.
  19. Most of the players we got would have been lined up before Walsh ' s input. Gueye, Williams & Bolasie almost certainly had a lot of input from Koeman but the targets after that it was probably less so.
  20. Jesus, I know they had gone on a little run but are you saying he inherited a title winning squad? Or even a top half capable squad?
  21. Was he a liability when he skinned City and scored this season? Was he only a good finisher when skinning the Chelsea defenders last season before getting us into the semis? If he can only finish, how did he manage to create 51 chances for team mates last season and 22 this season? Simple yes / no will do to the first two.
  22. Ranieri inherited a relegation threatened team so I suppose he got them relegated... oh wait
  23. Great fight, the whole card so far has been very good. Thought Chisora edged it myself but a rematch is surely on the cards.
