  1. Just read this about Anil Dhirubhai Ambani on Wiki - 'was in talks with Everton officials over a deal to takeover the club. Before this he was also on the brink of buying Newcastle United.[16][17] He is now believed to be keen to re-kindle his interest in Everton as Chairman Bill Kenwright has admitted he will now actively seek to sell his shares due to the collapse of the clubs Destination Kirkby stadium project'.
  2. What are your favourite Everton chants and Songs? (by songs I mean, spirt of the blues etc) For me, my favourite chant is 'Banks of the Royal Blue Mersey' & my favourite Everton song is 'We're forever, Everton!'- Get's the hairs on the back of my neck standing!
  3. I feel we are now at the end of an era. I'm scared, as we all our, at what is in store for us. We are heading straight for a storm this summer lads. Hold tight.,,
  4. Clean sheet. Good solid Everton performance. Ok, Sunderland were poor but you've still got to beat them & we did. I'm happy with that
  5. Jags, Osman, MIkel for me lads (in that order). I thought Jags was brilliant, solid, did everything that was asked of him. Osman was everywhere, really impressed me with his work rate, that little run at the end was Messi like! Finally Knowbody better, he looked back to his best, sprayed the ball around well and looked sharp and controlled. Beckford just misses out for me, however his movement was brilliant as ever, maybe if he'd have done the full 90 he might have got in my top three... MOM - Jags Funny how people see the game differently isn't it?
  6. Fantastic first half performance from the boys! Happy with that, our movement has been second to none. Messed up a bit in the final third at times, sloppy passes etc but we shouldn't moan, vast improvement on the Bolton game. I think this must be the first time ever that Phil Neville's final ball's has been better than Leighton's!
  7. Well, that one probably won't be hanging around. But I'd play Gueye more before anyone else on that list. Mind you, if Victor can play for Everton I'm sure this Greek can give it a go.
  8. I remember going up the road from me and watching him against 'The Vale' & he was fucking un-real! Granted against a pretty poor side but he just sprayed the ball across the park and made it look easy. I remember saying to my old man that we could maybe see him at his best 'this season' (think it might have been 2006/07). How wrong I was. Whilst reading that article it made me think what a devastating waste of talent he is, I'd have chopped my nob-ead off to have an ounce of what he had on the ball. Just a shame he had the IQ of a door.
  9. And the game after the derby, the game after the United 3-3 match & the draw at Chelski, the list goes on... But I believe that if we get a decent win on Saturday we will kick on. I hope the lads have got that buzz back. Its just a shame we couldn't bring in another Landon type figure in Jan, I believe with all that boost around we would shoot up this league. It's a different place than last season. A few wins and your right up there!
  10. I believe if Rooney would have stayed at Everton we'd have gone down. I honestly believe that. The sale of Rodwell for £30 Million would be good for the club. I don't like to see us sell promising youngsters but needs must don't they? If someone slapped down a sum of £30 Million I think we should bite their hand off. I don't know how far £30 Million would get us these days and I don't even know how much Moyes would get. But if £30 Million were to get Everton a new crop of Cahill's, Areta's, Pienarr's, Jags and Lescott's then I'm game.
  11. I like Fellaini like the rest of us but i don't get decent vibes from here. I really think he's the type of guy that would walk out in a second. I don't think loyalty is game with him. So if Chelsea were interested I think he'd be the type of player that would hand in a transfer request no bother.
  12. Also, looks like my 'Great Feeling' was the right one! COYB - MONEY CAN'T BUY YOU LOVE!
  13. LOL @ 'partnership of Weir and Stubbs', brilliant. God, How old was David Weir? Is he actually still playing?
  14. Ha, Love it Mike, That was brilliant. I was running up and down a bar in Malaysia, past a shed load of Chelski fans! Happy Days
  15. Same here, we never beat Arsenal. I'm just worried about meeting Stoke and them taking us out. I'd never live that down with my mates.
  16. I hope your right Hafnia, it's an interesting theory. However, thats all it is. One thing I could see as plan as day during the Bolton game was the face on David Moyes. As you said he won't be going anywhere (AT THE MOMENT) - But in the Summer when he takes another look at the situation he will surely say enough is enough. David Moyes strikes me as a man of principle and the most important thing for him is moving forward. When the Summer comes no one would blame Moyes for walking. So unless you theory is brought into motion any time soon. I think we may have to look else where because Moyes will be 'giving it toes' as they say!
  17. Sounds good, maybe we can keep Osman after all!
  18. I like your thinking mate but it may be a little high. Pip won't fetch over £1M, Yobo won't go for £5M, Palace won't be able to find £2M to stump up for one player and I can't see Yak dragging in more than £2M... Think that might be more realistic but I hope you are right.
