  1. That is a tradegy, 18 aswell! He had a promising future in the game, my mate who supports Rangers is gutted. RIP Ray
  2. sorry if thsi has been said before but it seems we wont lose him during the African Nations Cup....which is why we havent gotten the work permit in time for tm's game 'Yakubu’s international career suffered when he refused to go the African Nations Cup finals in January 2006 as a result of a fall-out with his international coach. That saw his international appearance record slide below the Department of Employment’s requisite figure.'
  3. it weird even seeing Rooney in an everton shirt. he doesnt deserve to wear the blue if you ask me. big dunc, hes a true evertonian, love him or hate him..youve got to love his passion for everton
  4. the Yak's record of 7 goals in 8 games in the champions league (for maccabi Haifa) stands up to Drogba and the like. Comparing him to Van the Man and Henry is hardly fair, they have Scholes and Pires etc setting them up, the Yak has only ever had Stuart Downing and hi Boro mates, imagine how many he will get with Arteta's service
  5. last bit says.... On 19th August 2007 Everton launched a bid of £6million rising to £11million which was reluctantly accepted by Gareth Southgate. The Nigerian striker could be an Everton player reasonably soon!!!
  6. The Yak has been left out of Boro's squad tm!!! Hes coming, only a matter of time....man we are gona have a good team!
  7. I do have 2 but Im going with my mate sorry. Phil, join the ESCLA (london supporters club) and u can get tickets for any match. I got 4 for spurs and 2 for reading..and Im sure I could have gotten 4 if I wanted.

    Spurts

I went to the game last night and Im still grinning now, I would have happily taken a draw before the game started but to win...and in the fashion we did made it a cracking night. The little area of Everton supporters sang and sang all game, my voice is pretty croaky today...and we hardly heard a peep out of the Spurs fans, they knew they had been outclassed on the night. Ossie was brilliant, Arteta ran the show and had to be fouled to dispossesed..I havent seen the highlights on tv but I would like to see the trickery in the box in the last minute, loked pretty good from where I was sitting. Top of the league!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  9. Newcastle boss Sam Allardyce is considering a £4m swoop for Everton skipper Phil Neville. (Express) Just seen this on the BBC rumours section but I cant find it on the Express website...£4m would be a great bit of business as long as a replacement came in...Vogel?
  10. please let this be true, we would be shit hot with these 2 on board
  11. http://www.thehumorarchives.com/joke/Keepi...ie_sitting_down i think we should sign this guy!
  12. my money is on man utd, the £35 pays £78 so hopefully make a nice profit too. Put it Everton and you Could (with a capital C) make thousands! Gamebookers did a similar offer when the world cup was on and it seemed to good to be true, but the shirt arrived no probs...shame brazil didnt win the cup though

  14. We can dream of getting Joe Cole but thats not gona happen. Cant see him wanting to leave Chelsea, he will be back in the first team next year
  15. http://home.skysports.com/list.aspx?hlid=4...+French+starlet Ahmed Yahiaoui has been offered the chance to train with Everton. David Moyes is looking to strengthen his squad before the start of the new Premier League season. According to L'Equipe, he will cast his eye over Yahiaoui for the rest of this week before deciding whether to offer him a deal. 20-year-old Yahiaoui is looking to kick-start his career after a difficult couple of seasons at Ligue 2 side Istres and Swiss outfit Sion. He was tipped for future stardom after helping France to win the European Under 17 Championship and remains highly regarded. If he couldnt cope in Swiss league 2 how would he cut it in the prem...maybe Moyes can bring his early career form out of him
  16. in the ventura link it says big vic scored, but the report above says lescott, im guessing it was vic
  17. no but we waited for him to snub other teams and, in my opinion, were waiting to put in a lower bid and rely on him wanting to come to us to push the deal through
  18. alonso has got to be the most over rated player in the prem!
  19. and in the Mirror...a near full page. £4.5m it says and we have a decent chance because they had agreed to sell him to Sunderland rather than taking the 'hes not for sale' stance. He wants to come to us so hopefully it will mean they have to drop the price. Smells of the Nugent deal again if you ask me, but with different results this time I hope
  20. Davie Weir has got to be on there somewhere? 220k for one of the best defenders in the league
  21. right now the only change would be Jags coming in for either Hibbo or Stubbs I think, midfield will be the same, Carsley will keep his place and rightly so
  22. does seem a financially sensible move! Everton reveal 'deal of century' Everton have outgrown current home Goodison Park Everton chief executive Keith Wyness claims "the deal of the century" is in place for a new stadium in Kirkby. A ballot is to be conducted among around 33,000 Everton fans to decide on the stadium, which could open by 2010. But Wyness insists there is no Plan B to the move, which will be helped by £50m from supermarket giant Tesco. He said: "It is an amazing deal. The deal of the century. If the heart rules the head we will never get an opportunity like this again." The stadium will be built on land contributed by Knowsley council and will hold between 50,000 and 55,000 - and will include a Tesco store and shopping centre. Everton claim they will be left with minimal debts from the scheme and they would have around an extra £10m a year in transfer funds. Any cash Everton need to put into project will be offset by naming rights to the new stadium and the sale of Goodison Park, which could raise about £15m. 606: DEBATE I am leaning towards the "No" side ifyaknow Sections of the club's supported have registered their opposition to a move outside the Liverpool city boundaries. But Wyness claims Everton could face serious problems if they stay at Goodison Park. He told the Daily Post: "There is no other site that we have found that will involve the same level of contribution. "We will be left with very little debt at the end of it. The deal compares very favourably with other clubs building new stadiums. We will be getting a very nice stadium for a small amount of money." Wyness added: "There is a long way to go. If the fans vote in favour, which I am confident they will, we still have to go through the planning stages. "There are potential for delays, but if everything goes smoothly, we could be ready by 2010. "If we have to carry on at Goodison, there will be serious issues. "Attendance numbers will go down and then revenue will go down and when that happens, you can't compete. There is no Plan B. There is no other option." The ballot will be run by the Electoral Reform Society, with the result expected at the end of August. The club have already ruled out increasing the capacity at current home Goodison Park and a groundshare with Liverpool is now a non-starter. A protest group, Keep Everton In Our City, has been set up to oppose the move, while the Kirkby Residents Action Group (KRAG) is upset over the idea of having a football stadium in their hometown.
  23. Van der Vaart to me seems one of these players that everyone says is amazing but everytime Ive seen him he has never done anything..I think £8m could be a lot better spent eg Fernandes. I would love Robbie Keane here but we missed our boat a year a go I think
  24. wrong decade...but didnt Mark Ward go down for smuggling cocaine! He is still in jail?
  25. ANDY'S FERRARI ANNOYS MOYES 15 July 2007 DAVID MOYES isn't best pleased that Andy van der Meyde is driving around in a smarter motor than his. The Everton boss has taken a fancy to the new Mercedes CL and approached club bigwigs about getting one. But the class of car that particular model comes under would exceed his monthly motor allowance and Everton top brass vetoed the bid. Confidential undertands Moyes, quite rightly, fought back with the fact that Goodison misfit Van der Meyde was driving round in a flash Ferrari ... without even being a first-team regular. But to no avail. And theres me thinking with their £30k a week wages they all bought their own cars!
