  1. how many players have scored 3 goals against chelsea this season, 1, Louis Saha. Its pretty obvious that he is a quality quality striker and as much as I used to rate the Yak he hasnt looked half the player he used to be since he came back
  2. I went for Donovan, we gota sign this guy up- my vote has made it 19 each!
  3. I agree, Ill bet a year from now we will be atlking about him in the same way we are about Fellaini now, Moyes knows a good player when he sees one, and to spend £9, he must be pretty damn good. also remember Pienaar was pretty bad when he first arrived, as was Fellaini, even Arteta and Johnny H, Jags too
  4. Thats the first thing that i thought of when I heard about Cashly this morning, Ill bet Bridge, Warnock and even Lescott would get in there before him, he should have bee called up long before now and I get the feeling Capello doesnt rate him too highly
  5. excellent news, he is currently our best striker by far and that will save cash in the summer trying to find a replacement

  7. why isnt 'white boy' a racist slur, if a white player had said 'black boy' to a ball boy there would have been no difference, just cos the white ball boy didnt take offence doesnt mean anything
  8. young striker, prolific in a bad gillingham team, if DM thinks he can make the step up he sounds like hes worth a punt, be cheapish too
  9. if saha was 5 years younger I think I would have gone fr him, however a fit Yak now owuld just edge it. Its good to have 2 strikers of such quality for a change and it speaks volumes that Jo, an £18m man, is a far away 3rd place!
  10. I am about to buy my first season ticket for 2009/10 and choosing where to sit is obviously a big decision. I have only ever sat in the main stand or the lower bullens (never again!) before so I cant really fully judge. The 2 most important factors are view and atmosphere, I want to be with the singers, Im not too worried about price as they are all pretty similar. Any viewpoints, advice would be welcome?
  11. just had a phone call from Everton (wow not often u can say that!) to tell me that the game has been changed back to Saturday, means Ill have to cancel my hotel!
  12. It was great to get an equaliser near the end but far from celebrating like we won the league I felt very subdued after the game, I thought we outplayed Liverpool, had a few good chances and deserved to win the game...and I was disappointed with a point. Imagine if Moyes was given the money Rafa has had, added to the spirit that surrounds Everton, we would be some force
  13. we are gona seriously struggle if we lose both of them long term...and vaughan too! big vic will have to get his chance with cahill playing just off of him....could be just the thing he needs
  14. wanted by numerous premier league clubs including RS, Everton have made their first summer signing............ http://www.salfordadvertiser.co.uk/news/s/...r_of_the_future No Share-ing this star of the future Ailsa Cranna 21/ 8/2008 MERSEYSIDE giants Liverpool and Everton have been battling for the signature of an eight-year-old prodigy from Clifton. But the red half of the city were left disappointed after Taylor Share signed for the Toffees. Taylor was also offered places on the junior squads at Blackburn Rovers and Bolton Wanderers but it was never a tough choice for the budding star. The Clifton Primary School pupil said: "It wasn't really a tough choice because Everton are my favourite team. "I'm really excited and have told some of my friends and they are very pleased for me. "The only sad thing is that, because I have to devote myself to training with them, this means I'm going to have to resign this week from my local club, Beechfield United under-eights. "I've had some really good times with Beechfield and I'm going to miss all my mates, but they've promised me a club shirt signed by all of them. "That's something I will treasure a lot and it's going to take pride of place in my bedroom." Taylor has to resign from Beechfield because from September he will have to travel to Everton's grounds three times a week for training. He lives Galloway Drive, Clifton with his parents Darren and Paula and his younger brother Finley, three. Proud mum Paula, 40, said: "Taylor has been playing football since he learnt to walk at the age of 10 months. "He never bothered with normal toys - it was always just a football. "We are all very proud of him, even his father, who is a closet Manchester United fan. "It's going to be a huge commitment for him to train three times a week - and for us as well because we will have to drive him there. "But he can't wait to start and I'm sure he will make the most of his opportunities." Keith Long, secretary of Beechfield United, said: "We are very glad for Taylor, and any other youngster who does well from our club. "It is also a great honour for the club itself. "We hope Taylor goes far, and, though we are sorry to lose him, he is welcome back at Beechfield any time he wants."
  15. sounds like a good find to me from soccernet........ Mehmet Topal Profile A Turkish League revelation this season, this outstanding defensive midfielder has timed his push perfectly for Euro 2008 selection, looking the part in his recent full international début in a friendly with Sweden. He loves a battle, is two-footed and can threaten from long distance with his powerful shooting. Topal has the versatility to play right-midfield or in the centre of defence if required and the rumours are already starting that some of Europe's top sides are interested in his youthful talents. What they say: 'He's a brilliant prospect, someone with the sort of all-round game to really go places.' Arif Erdem, ex-Turkey forward.
  16. is it possible to get a half season ticket at the beginning of the season which has every other game on it...IE I would like to get one but living in London Im not gona get up to Liverpool for every home game, but every other one I could manage? If they dont do this already it would be worth them thinking about, if I could choose one of 2 which covers all the games between them and choose which suits me best
  17. im just hoping we have more strikes on goal than them and our offense are on form!
  18. i have canadians in my house, i was making a joke!
  19. I am in London also, however I have the mum and dad in law over from Canada for 2 weeks, otherwise I would have loved to watch the match with some fellow blues! The soccers going on in MY house though whether they like it or not
  20. In my opinion 4th place depends on 2 factors, The Yak and Torres, if one loses form or gets injured the other will pip 4th place. Its our £11m man against your £26m man! As stated before, we have exceeded expectation this season and RS are well below expectation, whatever happens we have had a good season and you have had a bad...the only question is can you keep 4th place and stop bad becoming disastorous?
  21. I think 1-0 to us with the Yak to score interesting stat from the bbc website...... 'Manchester City and Everton are the only clubs not to have been awarded a penalty in Premier League matches this season. ' I find that amazing considering how many some teams must have had espec as the RS get 2 in one game!

this is so good i had to share it!
  23. my girlfriend bought it for me for xmas, I think she paid £40 for it. Its a really good read, as Bri said to be able to read the original back page story about Dixie sticking a few in is quite unique! Beats getting socks and chocolate thats for sure
  24. the yak for me, his partnership with AJ is mouthwatering and could be the differnce between doing well and doing very well. All 4 major signings this summer have all been good and a big improvement on an already decent team
