  1. Sigurdsson works hard for his team. And it definitely looks like there will be a lot of people bitterly disappointed come September when the team is not full of world class players.

In some respects they have a right to be though, our billionare chairman was the one who went on national radio stating that we had bid £60m for a world class defender last summer, maybe he should have just kept his mouth shut

  2. I have a bit of theory on this. Koeman like most Dutch managers prefer 4-3-3, now he has said he would prefer to keep Ross but i have a feeling that if RK get's all of his targets in over the summer i can't see Barkley being a first team starter in that system unless he plays out wide supporting the striker which means he has to vastly improve on his goal scoring ability and fast. This makes me wonder whether Kenwright is possibly(and i mean possibly) said to Ross that he would be a garunteed starter or even captain if he signs a new contract, we all know what Bill can be like at times. that is the one way i can see that this story may have come about, we will have to just wait and see. Also some stories today that we will sign another DM, a guy called Dendoncker, not sure why surely we have enough already

  3. Very loud neighbours, i have a house full of teenagers a couple of doors down the road from me and they just constantly play music very loud and have parties all day and all night, none of them seem to work or go to college or uni, they have no concept of living next door to anyone else whatsoever. The police have been out to see them on numerous occasions but they just don't care they simply stay quiet for 1/2 hour then start up again. I can't do any study work for university at home because i can never concentrate because of the constant noise, i am seriously considering moving because of it before i end up applying violence to one of them :shaking fist:

  4.

In our area (Atlanta), there's been a big increase this year in the number of snake bites Copperheads, in particular, are becoming a big problem. It's most likely because of the unusually mild winters we've been experiencing recently. My son killed a snake the other day when mowing our back yard - not sure what type it was.

They can do some serious damage if they bite you can't they?

  5. Strong rumours saying his contract has been signed at 100k a week.

The rumour goes on to say that koeman is fuming... he had been told the contract offer was made months ago when in fact it has just been weeks.

GOT saying both Sources are reliable.

I saw that but do take into account mate that it is on GOT and every fucker on there thinks they are 'ITK' thats all

  6.

No it doesn't at all. An extra six months at a club he's comfortable at and is doing well with isn't complicated in the slightest.

Agreed, i think we should look to move on from this one personally as Sandro clearly seems quite happy to stay in Spain and would prefer the Madrid move by the looks of things

  7. Up for grabs now Atletico ban has been upheld.

Id take back everything i have said about our transfer dealings if this happened but i highly doubt it somehow, also as was said previously we would need someone to play the ball through to him on a regular basis. but hell if we pulled this off it would be a real sign of our ambitions

  8.

exactly, not to mention koeman has already said he expects deal to go down to the wire because that's just the nature of transfers. he's not expecting everyone in early so i don't know why the fans do.

Probably because other clubs such as mighty Bournmouth can manage to lineup targets and sign them, just because the window is not open does not mean you can't sign people, we have always been shit when it comes to this stuff, id be surprised if we actually have identified anyone whatsoever, having said that, a few things about today suggesting that Cuco Martina will be our first signing. I do notice that the common denominator with the previous regime and the new one when it comes to this stuff is Suntan Bob, he made a big speech the other week about us looking for bargins

  9. From what ive seen City have signed a player who we wouldn't have a chance with and Bournmouth have signed a keeper who we should be aiming higher than anyway, everything else is paper talk. Have faith and patience.

We have not got the time to wait to have patience though, pre season is in about 4 weeks then the start of the Europa is in about 8 weeks, we need to get a move on with signings so they can come in and work with the players we have already got and be part of the time and learn the system, so we can hit the ground running imo.

  10. I'd assume he's thinking about taking care of his family and making all the money he can while he can. And, I'm sure he and his agent are asking for that much money, because they know he can get it out on the market. Whether or not that's a sensible price to pay for him is a different matter.

Let him go and get somewhere else then, he is not a £120k a week player let alone £140k, no way in hell should we be paying him that based on the last few years

  11. Is this going to be the same as last summer where we watch all the good deals fly by whilst we sit on our arse and do nothing?

20m is a steal for him, well worth the risk. I'd be surprised if we didn't lodge a bid for him.

This, i will be fucking fuming if we get back in for pre season and have not signed anybody

  12. Did anyone else hear the bomber's old friend talking? some rapper calling himself ghecko(never heard of him myself, im more Grandmaster Flash/Public Enemy) he claims there is a group of people in Manchester going round brainwashing these kids and recruiting them for ISIS. That is a very worrying thing if true. I saw all the Police with guns when i was in Brighton the other day, i found it all a bit strange, i wonder how long they will be like that.

  13. Costa could be staying at Chelsea http://www.skysports.com/football/news/11668/10895839/diego-costa-says-he-would-only-leave-chelsea-for-atletico-madrid

If Costa stays the only potential buyer in the Prem would be United. If lukaku goes there it would be unlikely they'd sell him to Chelsea in the future though so I doubt he would join United.

Looking abroad Juve don't need him. Roma or Napoli could give him champions league football, but are unlikely to meet the price tag or challenge for the league.

Bayern might be interested, but could wait as lewandowski still has a few years in him. Dortmund and RB Liepzig similar to the other also ran Italians.

Spain, wouldn't suit Barca or Atletico. Real, maybe, but he wouldn't want to play second fiddle to Ronaldo.

That leaves PSG and Monaco as the only suiters, just depends whether Lukaku would want to step down into a poorer league.

I am pretty convinced he will still be here next season, i understand his desire to play for a big CL club but what him and that ghastly agent of his don't seem to realise is, is that none of the major european clubs actually need him. Possibly Man United as despite what is being said there have been some pretty strong reports in the last couple of weeks that Greizman doesn't want to leave Madrid

  14. Simon, don't believe everything you read in the press, but also don't expect him to give Walsh autonomy to spend every penny however he wants. There will always be discussion and accountability.

true enough, im just slightly concerned at who these 'advisors' are given that Moshiri is an accountant himself

  15. it was me

Some interesting posts regarding this season being a success or not. How anyone can think it's not is baffling.

Only met the minimum requirements? Considering that was European football, that's quite a high minimum requirement considering the mess he inherited.

Review and stabilise a faltering squad? Done, releasing quite a few players that didn't have a place and bringing in young (either brought through the ranks or bought in) or proven players.

I don't like the way he goes about something's, but I've already said back towards the end of the season that he's winning me over.

But the real hero of the season is Morishi. What's happened over the last 12 months and what's coming is down to him; new stadium, new sponsorships, new energy.

This summer is massive now, and a real test of Morishis plan. I'll maintain that we only need 4-5 players, but they have to be stellar players. None of this Troy Deeny for £35m bullshit, I want players that have a massive improvement on the position. Players that will make the footballing world, as well as fans, stand up and say "holy crap, Everton are serious!"

I'll continue to give Koeman a deadline January next year before I make my mind up, but overall I'm very happy with what's happened so far

Great summing up there, my only other concern at the moment is (and i know it is still early days) the players we are being linked with so far are absolute dross, we really need to raise the bar a bit more if we are going to break the top 6 imo.
