As much as i don't relish the prospect of him coming back, i find it hard to believe that Vardy is getting in the England squad ahead of him, the guy is a pub team player
-
Must disagree with you there Mark, when he went to united he was telling Rio Ferdinand, one of the best English centre backs in the premier league era, to play and learn to play like Jags, who is by all means a decent defender but he isn't anywhere near the level Rio was. His problems started when he left us, thought he was billy big bollocks and look how that's turned out.
Agree with this. The Sunderland thing was never going to work for him because he was so obviously still bitter about what happened with Utd, and the morning he went into training trying to tell Rio and co to defend like Jags, well he must have been on the whiskey because that was just career suicide imo.
-
Some talk he may get the Scotland national team job if Strachen gets the boot, that's about his level imo, he won't get another premier league job anytime soon or championship.

Absolutely no way koeman would state Barkley isn't in his plans.
Far too divisive. There are fans like myself who would like to see him with an active front runner. There are fans who think he isn't gonna make the player his potential warrants.
He might not come out and state it to the media, but it does not mean he's not thinking it. Im with aaron on this, Ross strikes me as though he thinks he is king of the castle a bit and i think Koeman has told him that he is looking for a different type of player than Ross. Dutch managers all tend to play in that 4-3-3 type of a way and Barkley just does not fit into that sort of system, players need to have a much better first touch and be able to move the ball round much quicker than Barkley can. The suspense is killing me!!

I see there are some stories around today that the club wants £100m for Rom, no one is going to pay that for him and im not sure if i like the idea of keeping him if he is just going to spend the whole of next season whinging again
-
Coming off now to a standing ovation. He takes a cracking corner - even had a decent shot directly from a corner which Navas needed to deal with.
I really like the look of Jonny for Malaga too.
Jonny has been linked with the shite and man city in the past, he is proper quality, some really good players in that league.
-
Why would he go there again after his nightmare stint last time?
Agree with this, Spurs would have to offer him a first team place for him to go back, that's why he left the last time. They never actually wanted to sell him to Swansea, Sygurdson just got fed up of sitting on the bench.

Some european expert sort was just on the radio talking about Sandro saying he is a creative foraging type of forward who is definatly worth a punt and should be a good signing for us, he has surprised people in Spain this season just how good he has been.
-
They promoted from second division and then went straight to champions league the next season. I think they just have spent wisely.
The youth system at Monaco is so productive that at the moment they are fully prepared that bids will come in for the current first team and they have a fresh group of new ones waiting in the wings to make the step up.
-
He's not a winger he's a forward who can play across the front three according to nearly every source I've read and seen
I really like the look of this lad, I've tried to watch as many clips of him as possible which I know is never a true indicator but his touch movement and finishing looks great and he can hit a deadball/set piece very well
It was only that a Spanish guy from Marca was on the radio the other day saying he is more of a winger, maybe he just meant a wide man of a forward 3
-
Interested to see where this guy will play, Sandro is esentially a winger by all accounts but we have just given Kev another contract and we also have DCL and Lookman and obviously Bolassie will come back at some point.
-
I don't agree, i have seen quite a bit of Brighton this season and he is a decent player certainly no worse than Mirallas or Bolasse, also it's pretty obvious that Koeman doesn't seem to rate Lookman very highly he hardly ever plays
-
I honestly think that agent of his is 3/4 of the problem, there are clubs in Germany(i think, might be Spain actually) that won't deal with him because he is such a cunt, the whole saga is just becoming boring now, also if he does go to say Man U/ Chelsea, how long before he starts the same again because he gets left out for a few games?

At the end of the day- what he does or doesn't say is completely irrelevant, it's what he wants and I think anyone who thinks he doesn't is kidding themselves.
For me- it's time to put an end to the whole saga. Sell him as early as possible get replacements in and move on. I am honestly past caring.
Someone has got to want to buy him though, i live down south, lots of Chelsea fans down here and by all accounts they don't want him back, they would rather sign Morata, i think Roms only hope is Man United, nobody else is going to buy him in the CL because they don't need him, at the end of the day he still has 2 years left here something which i think him and his agent seem to forget at times.

Weird one really. Barkley's contract is running down but apparently we can afford to leave that one for a while. Davies isn't going anywhere but we've given him a new deal after a handful of appearances .
Nice pay rise for the kid though.
Over the longer term i reckon Davies will prove to be the better option tbh, Barkley has to suffer from idiot fans shouting at him, the rubbish with the national team everytime he gets selected, and he has been fairly slow to get going in his career, it's only this season he is really starting to show some proper form. Maybe the club just see Davies as the future and want to tie him down before someone else comes chasing after him.
-
Not much to be said about the game tbh, i think it just showed how desperate we are for some other options during the summer window. Our first eleven is fine but as soon as we get a few injuries we have nothing to come in and replace them. Also i don't think Gana looks anywhere near the player he was earlier on in the season.
-
RK must be pissed as fuck with the Ireland setup at the moment everytime we send someone out to them they come back injured, i bet he is going to want a few words in MON's ear at some point as we just can't trust them to keep our players in one piece!
-
I don't see what regular team in the CL does Lukaku actually think he is going to get in the starting lineup for? if you look at the teams in this country, he's not going to sign for Man City, Arsenal have no ambition whatsoever, He won't get ahead of Kane at Spurs, He doesn't get on with Jose so won't go to Man U, he could go to Chelsea but he is not going to get in the team ahead of Costa. None of the Spanish teams are going to buy him because they have better already, Bayern don't need him, Dortmund don't buy big players they develop their own, the only place i can possibly see him getting in the team is PSG and the French league is a massive drop down from the Premier.

I'd press charges if I were Coleman, to many times now these kind of challenges go virtually unpunished, a three game ban and a small fine isn't enough
I've watched it over and you don't go in with that force with your feet up with no intent, horrible bastard
This. Taylor has got form for this sort of thing he got in trouble a while back for a pretty lethal elbow on Tadic the Southampton player. Hope Seamus is ok, i myself had a nasty leg break years ago that required surgery and my leg has never been the same since, still get pains in it, can't do any kind of running activity whatsoever
-
Pardew gone from Palace, was always going to happen
-
What if Barkley just isnt good enough?
I actually don't think he is good enough, other than that small part of one season under Martinez in which he looked like he had a bit about him, he has never done anything since then in any of the following seasons to suggest he is this great english midfield hope everyone keeps going on about.
-
Stuck with Koeman? Do you think Eddie Howe could do better job with our current squad? Could he rebuild this club? Who could he attract? Have any players outside of the Prem even heard of him?
Why would anyone want Eddie Howe over Koeman?!
I never suggested Howe could do a job at Everton, but at the same time i never wanted Koeman in the first place
-
no thanks on the loan, if Howe is what takes to bring the best out of our players we should sign him not send ross their way.
Never going to happen, we are stuck with Koeman for now, in Moshiri's own words 'Koeman is a Hollywood manager' also Howe has had a few other offers now and seems reluctant to leave Bournmouth
-
Gerry?? He couldn't finish a Bourbon biscuit. I'd be surprised if he gets anywhere near the football pitch tonight.
That's only because we don't use him properly, he does perfectly well when playing for Spain under 23's

I think it will be him or Ross tbh not both
