Agreed. I remember watching that match and saying to my girlfriend: "Just watch Chelsea score from this corner," only to see Beckford make me eat my words. Brilliant moment. I honesty think he had more to offer and was disappointed to see him go.
Agreed, it would be a scary transition. I don't think Martinez will drop Jags, but I also wouldn't be surprised to see him include Stones in a 3-man line, mainly because he's done it before. Jags better start strong in either situation really.
This is a huge opportunity for Everton to make a statement to American fans of the game with Howard's popularity being at an all time high. I really think the timing of this is perfect.
