  1. We were once called St Domingo's so no biggy about a name change in that respect. Are Liverpool a big enough City brand in a global market? Maybe, but I'm pretty sure they'll want a London team. Everton Red Bulls is bad enough, but imagine being called Liverpool Red Bulls. Kenwright wouldn't do it to us, so it's a no go for me.
  2. We have him for 2 seasons if we want him according to one of their guys.
  3. For us to buy a 20 goal a season striker we would have to buy a striker with zero track record and get lucky, as if they are banging the goals in we can't afford to buy them. For me, it's that simple. We probably sold a 20 goal striker when we sold Vic, as had he been number 1 for 38 games who knows.
  4. Just be aware of links that make you log back into the site, as that's how you get hacked.
  5. I thought the opposition were particularly poor tonight, allowing us far too much play. Sturridge looks a player.
  6. Season so far? Let's take the 'we love Bobby' glasses off first of all, and remember we are Everton, not Wigan. 3 draws, 3 wins, 1 loss, and no League Cup. 2 big teams out of the way, and still in touch of where we want to be. Over all, I'm fairly underwhelmed at only having 12 points from the games we've played, and feel we have let opportunities pass us by, while other teams are also struggling. Maybe it's a case of there being no easy games in the Prem anymore. Our performances have been a mixture of brilliance and sloppiness, and we need to find some consistency. Under Moyes, we played some great stuff in the last few years, and I don't think we are at that level yet, as the difference with last years team was not having a goal scorer. Our defence was excellent, and we still had Baines and Coleman flying up and down the wings. Our possession was very good, but our success up front wasn't ideal. Under Martinez, our defence is not as reliable. Our midfield will need time, and our attack looks better, especially our counter attacks. I'm still optimistic though, and prepared to let things run their course before judging. Not everything that happens on the pitch is down to a manager, so the players need to step up. So far this season, we have had some poor performances from key players, and we need that to improve. Baines, Mirallas, Gibson, Osman all need to step up. Like Naismith or not, his performances this season have been full of energy and effort, and I'd like to see that rub off on a few others. Hopefully by Christmas we will have settled a bit more, and still be in contention. Liverpool look ok this season, and will no doubt back it up again in January, and United will be back on track soon. It all reminds me a bit of a long distance track race. Nobody is particularly getting involved at the front, but when it matters, the quality competitors will make their move, and we need to be there.
  7. Still no pc version, so f*ck GTA and their console baby games :shaking fist:
  8. He reminds me of the proverbial barking dog at the gate lol.
  9. You can get Half Life 2 on Steam for about a quid or so. Matts post reminded me. I wish they'd come up with a 3rd.
  10. Very good mate. Don't let the old women frighten you.
  11. Balanced is not the term I'd use Haf. I'd call it repetitive and boring mate. You write what you want though , and don't let me stop you. There are lots of other posts I can read instead if that's the easier solution. I think Martinez is great = fantastic Not that keen on Martinez so far = fantastic I think Martinez has some great qualities, and some not so great ones = That's balanced. I think Martinez is great because he is different from that useless Ginger blah blah blah = boring and repetitive. Not to mention a bit childish and immature. But you knew that already though. Some of us don't wish Moyes the worst, despite being angry with him over the transfer window etc, so sometimes your 'balanced opinion' as you call it becomes annoying and offensive, when it hits you in the face every time we go to read about the guy on here. We know you don't like him. You don't need to constantly underline it mate.
  12. Great to see you so positive Haf. It's refreshing. If only you wouldn't spoil it by needing to speak badly of the others. Martinez has had a handful of games. You can't possibly draw comparisons to 11 years, especially as Martinez is still eating at the table that Moyes prepared. McCarthy has been here for just a few weeks. It would be small minded to judge him one way or another.
  13. Especially if you get hit in the face by the ball :wind up:
  14. You're comparing again. :Grammar Police: Forget Fellaini, forget Moyes etc. If they didn't exist, Martinez and McCarthy would have to be judged on their own individual merit. People aren't good because others are worse, and vice versa. Fingers crossed that both will be great.
  15. Ah, the old "Told you so" ones are the best. :shaking fist:
  16. I could have sworn the whole point of this thread was for peeps interested in Moyes to post free from the bashers batting them into line.
  17. You're not allowed to say Niklas Bendtner

    Hull City

I think our season is on track still. We lost to City, the team that cost about 700 million to put together, so it's no disgrace, and on another day they might not have come back. Hull need to be respected, but I'll be expecting a victory.
