  1. I would like Alacaraz. I would like Kone. I would like Robles. I would like Diame. I wouldn't like all 4 of them. That's the best way I cant put my point haha.
  2. What positives? Well maybe that was drastic, but its the Straq situation all over again. Just becaue a player works their arse off dosnt mean that they're anywhere near good enough for a starting spot. Fair play to him though, I like the guy as a person, but personally I dont think he would be anything to write home about even in the Championship. Although I do understand Moyes did play him out of position. But lets face it, did moyes ever buy a bloody player and play him where he's used to? Bily, Coleman, Naismith, Lescott - Im not even sure Mirallas even played on the wing before he came to Everton (not that im complaining about that one!)
  3. I dont think it would be ignorant to dismiss signing 4 Wigan/ex-Wigan players at all. We look really stupid right now.
  4. Kone's fee was undisclosed wasnt it? Because some reports are saying 5m, others raching up to 6.5m. I wonder what it actually was because even 5m seems just a little bit too steep for the 30 year old.
  5. I know why dont we just change our name to Wigan whist we're raiding all their squad/ ex squad?
  6. Signing Kone dosnt piss me off. In fact, I think Kone could do very well under Martinez at Everton. He has a better squad around him, will already work well under Bobby, and on top of that he can score goals and we finally have three reasonable strikers who can give each other a rest, which we havnt had in... well since I can remember. However, what does piss me off is the fact that we are apparently signing Alcaraz and we have also been linked by SSN to goalkeeper Joel Robles, who was on loan at Wigan last season from Atletico Madrid. Dont get me wrong, Alcaraz from what I've seen could fill a void at Everton, but even if we signed Wigans top 3 or 4 players last season, that to me is a step backwards, lets sign someone half bloody decent from a different side who can give us a bit of a lift as fans.
  7. Im really excited to see how Jelavic works under RM this season. Hopefully Fellaini is put back into a more anchorman/ deep lying playmaker roll and allow Jelavic to be fed from 3 or so attacking players behind him. I think it will be a fresh start for Jelly. I know RM likes to play 3 at the back so next season I'd like to see this team: -------------Howard------------ ------Alcaraz-Jags-Distin----- -Coleman--Fellaini--Baines- --------------Gibson----------- ---Mirallas---------Pienaar--- ---Jelavic/Kone/Anichebe--- or hopefully:- -------------Howard------------ ------Alcaraz-Jags-Distin----- -Coleman--Fellaini--Baines- ---Mirallas-Honda-Pienaar-- ---Jelavic/Kone/Anichebe---
  8. From what I've seen of Duffy I think he has bags and bags of potential. I hope Martinez does rate him.
  9. Who gave Mike permission to do that?!
  10. What date is it that the fixture list for next season is usually released?
  11. Heitinga would go for what? £3-4m? As he is in the last year of his contract. Fellaini wont go for anything less than his release clause which is rumourd £24m Naismith... I dont even know what to value him at? £1-2m? I'm sorry, I like the guy but he just isn't a Premier League player. As for Anichebe it would be sad to see him go after the one season where he's started to pick things up. He's no out and out poacher but he can bring a lot to the team. If, in the event that he did leave, I'd expect £4-5m for him. That would give us £32-£35m to play with. Or would it? I suspect BK will want a but even though he's promised funds. It gives us a lot of voids to fill. If all these players did leave we would AT LEAST need: A new 2nd goalkeeper, 1 or 2 new centre halfs (Distin is aging), 1 or 2 new wingers, a new central midfielder and 2 new stikers. That's 8 players. It makes me hope that we can as many good players for free such as Alcaraz, just to add a bit more depth in the squad. We really, really need a cash injection into the club if we want to excel next season.
  12. IMO we would be deadly on the break with Mirallas and Moses on the wings. Or we could even stick Mirallas behind the stiker, enabling nuts to stay on the left, which I dont think would be a bad idea.
  13. Im made up too. BK listend to the fans and we (well, most of us) got what we wanted. RM is a really likable bloke, and he's has good attacking tactics. We WILL play attractive football next season, however I do think we will adopt the approach of "Lets score more than you" - as he isnt the best defensive minded manager. I'm made up, he was my no.1 choice, lets see if he can do the job.
  14. give him 6 more months under someone else and if he dosnt perform get rid, he's a hiderence. I never though the day would come when Anichebe would be our main striker. Hes a brilliant target man dont get me wrong. Physically one of the best in the Premier League, but he dosnt score enough goals. It would be nice to see an out and out striker play along side him.
  15. My patience with Jelavic has completely gone now.
  16. "Already"? Are you implying you think he could be ?
  17. I thought Rafa was ment to be a tactitian? So far his ideas have been aweful.
  18. David Moyes, Big Dunc, Tim Cahill, Phil Neville and Kevin Mirallas. All 5 of them.
  19. Mirallas is everywhere!
  20. Fellaini is playing deeper than I thought he would looks like Mirallas is up front with Anichebe to me.
