It was between Osman Lukaku and Pienaar for me today. Some great runs by Lukaku to drag the defence and Pienaar ran the show the first half. Osman was consistant and bagged a goal today and it just shows how influencial he has been for us in past seasons. Brilliant player, brilliant Evertonian. We deserved a win, and not that im complaining - but 4-1 did not refelct the game! Well done lads, now lets show the prem that we can rack up the points in these following (im going to say easy - but I shouldn't) games. Something that Moyes always fell down on.

Absolutely. Providing we can seal this second season loan for Delou then I believe Martinez has the right attitute to help everton exceed expoectiations in the CL. If we lose him, we will struggle next season without a proven striker.

He dosnt track back. Its not as if we've been winning games by 2 or 3 goals, therefore I dont think RM wants to take the risk. He needs to do more to warrent a start IMO.

Mirallas has a bit more finesse and tekkers than the three you mentioned though. He seems like he could make things happen with a bit of form. I think he just needs a kick up the arse sometimes.

I agree with what you've said here, although as much as it kills me to say it, I think it would be more beneficial for the team as a whole if Naimsith started the game. He shows up to big games and puts a shift in defenivley too. Mirallas' 4 assists are quite shocking actually, seeing as he has not been playing very well this season IMO.

Does everyone actually believe he's done enough to warrent a start in the Derby? I know his potential, but I think people are a bit starey eyed and overrating his current ability. Yes he can take on a man and beat him, and he has a goal or two in him (from what I've seen at Barca) but does everyone think we'd work better as a team with him starting? I really don't believe he's ready yet.

wouldnt complain for a couple of changes at half time like people have said delo and barkley for mirallas and osman. we are defending really really well however we cant link our defense and midfield together when we retain possession. first touches, dribbles made and passes have all been poor, with many players being caught in possession all too often. lukaku looks like the most likely to make something happen and has been putting in a shift (once again) defending set pieces. they need a kick up the arse in that dressing room.

We have the potential to take second place for at least a week tomorrow! I never feel comfotable playing Spurs though, but Martinez is impressing so far along with all of our new signings. I doubt much will be changed tomorrow from the last match, maybe he will give naismith a start as he is a more defense minded player and spurs look to have a really talented squad going forward (however on the other hand we are at home and should go for it!), and on top of that Mirallas hasnt been the play I thought he would be this season. Lukaku to score 12 goals and probably knighted post-match.
