I have watched every minute of Mirralas when he has been given a chance..be it 3 mo s or 10. He's been very poor all year. If he was anything like that in training then he didn't deserve to be picked. I'm a great believer in picking players to how they perform on the pitch and in training. Don't agree with picking Players on reputation at all. His performance Saturday was night and day difference. Now he's earnt his spot. If he doesn't play against Swansea then there must be more to it.

Can agree there. 6 is a step forward. Anything less is a disappointing season. Our aim HAS to be top six and go all out Wednesday to get to the final.

I don't understand why it's taking so long or why it's so difficult to sort out. But I honestly enjoy watching and am much more optimistic than last year. I believe we have a better team. I believe we can compete against the top teams. I believe we have a chance of winning something. I haven't felt this way for years. That to me isn't moving backwards.

It's not that we don't see it though...or me at least. I'm just looking at the bigger picture. I don't think football is all about patterns, I think it's more planning and then luck. At the moment we are playing well enough to win points. But luck is against us. Now if like a few of you say, we end up mid table and still toothless at the end of the season then I will agree. But if we can drag ourselves up to top six and do well in the cups, then maybe we can say ...ok maybe we have turned that corner. Getting to score goals wad the first step. Playing to win against top teams is another step. Getting the defence in order needs to be the next step. Will it happen overnight? Of course not. Will it happen at all? Maybe. I'm willing to give him the rest of the season to try. So for now Roberto....you can stay.

Would you rather go back to the last ten years of Everton? Massive underdogs, boring football, not much in the goal department other than set pieces and still an average team? No, for me we have taken a step forward. I much prefer being able to score goals, play great entertaining football, and the knowledge that if we cam start defending better we can make big things happen I suppose at the end of the season I may end up in the vault haha!

Technically that is exactly the reason we are 11th. Fact is if it was judged correctly we would now be 8th....it's a fact.

I agree Nogs we got lucky against city. But again, even that would have been no disgrace for me. City threw everything at us that night.

But we did though. The 3Rd goal should not have stood. I know it's disappointing but some things are out of our hands. Like mentioned above, our defence played that goal well according to the laws of the game. Chelsea also put very good pressure on us. We're not gonna agree here and it's wrong of me to try and change that It's just your opinion and mine. Mine is that we have took another step forward since the start of the year. And if we continue it then great. If we don't. Then the manager really comes into question for me.
