Although he may turn out to be as good..my opinion is that he isn't anywhere bear the class of Baines another moment. I watched him so many times from.when he joined and other than his mini spell last season, he hasn't looked anything other than average. Though I do like the way he whips balls in with pace. Thos isn't to say he won't turn out to be as good.

Wow. A prospect like him turning down better offers to join us....and they say he has an attitude? Well I like his attitude. If we manage to keep him and he fulfills his potential...we could end up have a new cult hero!

Guys the thing is...... It lies somewhere in the middle. He's nowhere near as bad as made out at time. He's nowhere near as good as made out at times. He had a bad season last year but for some reason was awesome in Europe. That shows that if he can replicate that form in the premier, then we may have a 20+ goal striker for the first time in a very long time.

This is Everton Haf. Nothing is ever nailed on. Its just because it's such a good piece of business I'm expecting something to go wrong. Like we buy him but there a writ in the contract that we have to loan him to Liverpool for two years...which we have to pay for..and give them an option to buy after that time for 1m. Or something like that!

Don't think he is anywhere near as bad as being made out...and Im sure he will have a better season this season. But not a good question mate. Answer is one open play goal since January in the league. Think he also scored two pens. So counting then three. Haven't actually double checked those stats but that's what sky sports said.

True enough. I think after the let downs o er the years I am so critical of players now. Like I said, still be excited about it, just think he needs a lot if work. Not just with the ball and on the pitch.

It's not a no brainer for me though. If it became a choice between him and someone like Yarmalenko...I would go with Y. Don't get we wrong I would still be excited by the signing..as mentioned previously...I just don't remember him being here and tearing up defences. I remember him having a few moments of brilliance... Emirates for example...and the rest of him being more frustrating than Mirralas. Take a look back through the match day forums and it might remind you of his time here.

What we need is a playmaker. What we don't need is yet another ego who plays when he feels like it. I do understand the potential...I just don't think we're in a position at the moment to work on potential...I believe we need players to come in and play now.

Frustrating thing about McGeady is that we know he can beat a player....why doesn't he? I watch him and think to myself you know you can if you could just be arsed....then he'll sprint back and help out the defense. Put that effort in their last third and you could actually make a difference. I would give him till January to show something...then move on. We can't keep waiting for these players to fulfil promise...at that age, if your not doing it then it's your own fault.
