  1. Bang on that Cornetto Steve, bang on! I guess RM believes we'll have players back sooner than I believe and no one available was going to genuinely strentghen the team. I suppose we have had our nightmare game for the season....so we will march on and push hard!
  2. Nice one Steve_E. When you see the squad like that and then add in the absent players, then yeah, its a good looking squad. Still think the next few weeks are going to be tough. So lets not expect too much, then we can be happy!!!
  3. Thanks for that,, needed that!!! Was starting to get all pessimistic! !!
  4. Yeah, definately. Some tough games in feb....spurs and chelsea away. Villa and Palace at home. FA Cup too. Who we got out for the next few weeks? Coleman, Distin, Lukaku, Traore, Gerry....that right??? (Plus oviedo long term) Who's 'just' fit ? Jags, Alcaraz, Barkley, McGeedy, Pienaar Man, thats a whole team!!! Fasten your seatbelts peeps!!!
  5. Always liked Jonny. Shame that for whatever reason it just didnt work. Seemed to do well at first then just teeter out.
  6. Come....let it all out gents...let it all out! Bit of a bummer this...but I guess once the wounded troops are back we will kick on strong again...the next few games may be a bit tough!!! In 'good' news....redshite couldnt get their man!
  7. Ha! I was thinking the same...the fuckers!!!
  8. ....in other news, redshite may have missed out on that bloke...I am clutching at straws for 'good' news!!!
  9. Sorry, not smaller....2 out, 2 in...not counting the GK. Just lookin at the likes of Zaha, Ince, Holtby, Berbatov etc moving. Damn.
  10. Dont usually agree with ur sometimes overally negative remarks (opinions?!!!)....but kind of with you on this one. Not feeling too happy at the moment....not sure whats going on but we seem to have made a small squad....smaller!!!
  11. Nah nah nah....I refuse to accept that we will let 2 fit players go and only bring in 1 injured player!!! Im keeping the faith!!!!
  12. Feeling nervous now...linked to no one and got a keeper??!!! However, remember what happened in August.....
  13. Hell yeah...throw in the kopshites finishing 6th too!!!
  14. Yep. The world revolves around opinions. And everyones own opinion is right to themselves at the very least. Hitler had an opinion. The KKK have an opinion. Kim Jong-un has an opinion Suppose it makes life interesting!!!
  15. Oh yes....I love a quickie! I agree with everything your saying in that question/statement. Which kind of over rides your assumption that I dont like opinions. I have no issues with anyones opinions, as such. Its the comments that are so wide of the mark that open my eyes. Like, is the poster really thinking that?! Some are just overly negative, but I guess thats just different personalities. Some just leave you scratching your head. And yeah, some are based on emotion. You questioning my opinion?! ; ) Oh, if you want to relieve some of the shit, best way is to have a good old wank. Cheers.
  16. Look, this coin throwing thing. It has no relevance what players earn, none at all. They are paid a market rate for their worth, same as every job. And a hell if a lot of players, suarez included, do more for charity and good causes that we can even think of. That part is never in the press though is it? Because the aim of the press is to ignite interest and sell...players and good causes dont do this. We come across twats, proper twats, in everyday life...we work amongst them and we serve them. Do we throw coins at them? No. Why? Because we know its wrong. So what changes when we enter a football stadium? And you can bet your house we would all whinge like we got barbed wire up our arse if they lobed the coin back. Back to the game....we were just shit. Players who have been key for us decided to go missing and make numerous mistakes. It would have made no difference who started and where, it came down to the same core players. Its ok saying after the game that RM should have done this, done that, played this player over that player...thats easy. It would be good to see these things said before kick off...then it has more substance. On this day, it would make no diffetence...there was no real option other to play those selected. The other options would have been no better. Liverpool executed the perfect game plan. Now some will say Im just one of those who see's no wrong in RM. Not true. I admire him as a man, a footy manager and his positive philosphy on life. Its also really important to note that he is just 40, thats a baby age in football management. Yet for years he has been lauded as a brilliant football manager, he is highly rated and thought of in the game...and we think we know better?!!! As a club, we are real lucky to have him. He will make mistakes, but like all honest people, he'll know that and will correct it. He looked genuinly sore after the derby. My one concern with how we play is that it is too slow at the back. We want too much time on the ball back there. WBA first highlighted this, and I am sure Rodgers watched that and told his pacy forwards to press quickly...and it worked. So I think that needs tweaking. And Im sure it will be. Bit what do I know?!!! Ha!!! I draw a line under this game and look forward to see how we react....and what happens before midnight on friday ; )
  17. Agree. Total dickheads. I hope the club finds out who it waa and ban them for life. This shit does my nut in.
  18. Haha!!! Can we leave that in your capable hands?!!! Great news. He might be 36 but he is in top condition and one of the fastest around. Testimont to what can happen if you look after yourself.
  19. As always, Im gonna write my own thoughts before reading what others have said. No doubt when I do read your comments, they will be as varied as ever!!! Well, that was a defensive calamity! So much so, I found myself laughing at the mistakes we made. When the line up was announced I felt assured. My only surprise was Alcaraz starting. I thought Stones would play CB and Hibbert RB, with that extra experience giving him the edge. Would it have made any difference? No, not one little bit. For a team which has been so defensively solid this season, that was a nightmare. We gifted them all 4 goals through poor defending. It was always going to be tough against Suarez, Sturridge, Sterling and Coutinho...they harrassed our back line non stop and we looked paniced. The writting was on the wall with Gerrards goal. Barry tried to track him, Barkley got in his way, Barry then falls over and injures our main striker! You couldnt make it up!!! All the goals where our own fault. Simple. Now I know the usual tactical genuis' are gonna be on saying we should have done this, played him, changed that....cos on fifa and football manager thats what you do. But honestly, the only thing that would have changed today is that our defence didnt have a collective mare....naff all the manager can do during the game in these unique situations, whether the manager be Martinez, Moyes or Howard Kendall. Liverpool had a plan...defend in numbers and counter attack. And it worked great with our generous help!!! Of all the games for it to happen!!! I thought Alcaraz was largely poor, Pienaar was shambolic, lukaku wasnt in it before he went off, and Naismith had no hope. Was actually quite impressed with Stones a number of times, caught too far forward for one goal. Miralas was smart. Barkley looked good. Barry and McCarthy...not sure!!! Just look forward to getting back on track. The season to me is about 38 games, not 1.
  20. Game changer today!!! If Lukaku has ankle ligament damage, he'll be out for a bit. Now the striking options really worry me. And I dont worry often!!!!
  21. Mirallas defo MOM for me. Never stopped. Deserves a lot of credit for that (and a light slap for over complicating things at times!!!) Was surprised at Ossie when he came on, thought he did a good job....a hell of a lot better than Pienaar n Naismith.
  22. I was holding tight on all thoughts until I seen the lineups. Happy with our starting 11...a lot of quality there. Bench is fine too, all areas covered with quality. So liverpool....its their forward 4 that cause the worry...but we have what it takes to keep them at bay. Behind that 4, we can trouble them just as much as they can trouble us. They are defensively weak. Gonna be a good solid close game.
  23. To be fair, having tried to find something out about this attitude thing, there is nothing other than a bit of fan hear say. The other thing is that he dropped down from a big club in the biggest league in the world to play for Blackpool in the 2nd tier...in order to play regular football. That definately isnt bad attitude. Can anybody point me in the right direction for tgis bad attitude thing? Like articles, press, manager and player comments etc???
  24. Is his Dad his rep or sommit??? Yeah, sky sports just reeled off 5 clubs interested in him...we werent one. Wouldnt mind him tbh, for the right fee. But if his reputation is of a shitbag, then I doubt RM will want to rock the steady ship.
