  1. Hopefully that means we can continue to improve the squad then. People can whinge about Moyes as much as they want but when he brought someone in generally the were an improvement on what we had. Whereas we have 4 new players in under Martinez but they have just been to make up the numbers imo, We need some quality now, still time though.

    I think we've improved without a doubt.

    Gone:

    Neville

    Hitzlsperger

    Mucha

    Incoming:

    Alcaraz

    Robles

    Kone

    Duelofeu

He has to fill the squad because the squad fillers have left.

  2. So we've had some reasonably decent signings from Man U in recent years, Howard, Gibson, Saha, Neville... who would you take from the players they are supposed to be getting shot of, presumably for a bargain ala Gibson? This may all be paper-talk but none of the list are exactly regular first-teamers.

    Nani - 26

    Lindegaard - 29

    Anderson - 25

    Fabio - 23

    Bebe - 23

    Macheda - 21

    Tunnicliffe - 20

    Wootton - 21

  3. Serious? The clause expires so we don't get stung on the last day of the window. If anyone wants him they have to get him by 14th August. If they want him they will, if they don't they won't.

Or, someone actually makes an offer next season for below the clause amount and BK sees the dollar signs. I wonder what figure BK/RM actually values Fellaini at? For all we know they might be happy to sell him for under the clause amount.

David Moyes has brought three of his Everton backroom staff to Manchester United, including the appointment of Steve Round as assistant manager.

The new Old Trafford boss, who officially took charge on Monday, has also brought in goalkeeping coach Chris Woods and Jimmy Lumsden as coach.

Since Sir Alex Ferguson retired, his assistant manager Mike Phelan and goalkeeping coach Eric Steele left.

First-team coach Rene Meulensteen has also moved on.

  5. People may disagree with me, but I'm not sure that Jelavic has been given enough of a chance this season. He wasn't up to last season's standards at the beginning of the season, so he was rested/put on the bench in place of Anichebe. I might be wrong but he wasn't given a decent run of games after that at all, just subbed a few times but I can't remember the last time he played 2 or 3 full games back to back. I know it's hard to play someone that's out of form but surely that's the only way he'll get his confidence back?
