carlmc25
Follow,Follow,FollowEverton Is The Team To Follow There's Nobody Better Than Mikel Arteta He's The Basque Little Spaniard We Now COYB!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Play like ths every week and we would rape any1 yeah but you have to take into the account Fiorentina have come purely to defend, they've been as poor as we were in the first leg. Still, a great performance. Yakubu hasn't doe much tonight, at the same time he has the quality to pull something out of the hat. Anichebe has to come on, but who will come off. Raccyboy
omigosh, yakubu heads a foot wide!!! let's just see out injury time and finish them off in extra-time without the fear of the away goal rule

MikeO
let's just see out injury time and finish them off in extra-time without the fear of the away goal rule Still applies....if they score one we need two.
carlmc25
our passing has still been pretty poor tonight, we have played a lot of long balls. Surely Anichebe has to come on now before it's too late, they've struggled with balls into the box all night. Yakubu has been poor tonight, he looks a bit off the pace and it doesn't appear to be his night and for the first time in his Everton career, his shooting has been a bit off. Raccyboy
Still applies....if they score one we need two. you 100% sure? always thought it fell away after the 90 minutes -- unfair otherwise that we only get 90 minutes to get the benefit of an away goal, but they get 120 minutes to do so? negates part of the advantage we're meant to get from having tghe 2nd leg at home... carlmc25
Moyes is leaving this too long, we never win penalties and from memory Howard dives early on pens (I hope I'm wrong). Anichebe HAS to come on NOW.

Certain... "if the two teams score the same number of goals at home and away, extra time of two periods of 15 minutes shall be played at the end of the second leg. If, during extra time, both teams score the same number of goals, away goals count double (i.e. the visiting club qualifies). If no goals are scored during extra time, kicks from the penalty mark (see Article 16) determine which club qualifies for the next stage." ....hopefully it won't apply . don't forget we took care of bristol city on pens a few seasons ago! I was there, we missed the first one as well....and we had teflon in goal.
carlmc25
we need more fresh legs, we haven't looked dangerous for a while, let's just throw everything at them, pump non stop balls into the box.

I can only assume Yakubu is on take a pen, he's been very poor tonight. There's a lot of tired legs out there now. carlmc25
gravesen on for johnson obviously to take the pen, but would have thought johnson would also be one of the five? I think the 2 he missed in an earlier round and the fact he missed one in the cup final against Liverpool counted against him, I wouldn't want AJ taking one. It's all down to Howard now, if he goes too early and telegraphs it we have no chance as the Italians are good at the mind games. We need to score the first 2 or 3 and see if Howard can pull one out of the bag.
