MikeO
Howard for me also....if only he'd stood still for the pen .
DonKey
Close one for me tonight. Howard - outstanding tonight. Hibbo- kept greasy boy under pressure all night. Jags and Lescott - Solid again, and think Joey has a real scrap on his hands to get back in the starting 11. Baines and Pienaar were great first half and were really our main threat. Guest efctaxi
Going to give my vote to pienaar , even though Howard and Hibbert had good games . He would be a major player if he was in the United team , but he does well with the players around him . Just wish others would run a bit more for him and Baines . Stefan_G
Howard for me tonight. We could've been in for a right thrashing if it wasn't for him. Top between the sticks tonight, and long may his good form continue
aaron
Ive voted jags today, has kept another two world class strikers at bay. Thought Stevie P had another good game as did baines but if i were to choose two people for MOTM howard would have got the second vote. Top performace. sing_blue
Howard made some top class saves that kept us in it. Could have lost more if ti wasn't for him. Shame about the penalty, he almost could have gotten his trailing foot on it.
The Beard
I think I will have to agree with most posters up to now and vote for Howard. The whole defence played well, albeit Man Utd had a few chances but tell me a team who they don't get chances against. We rarely threatened but I think we knew that was going to be the case. Interesting talking to a few Man Utd fans after the game, they actually said it was a doubtful penalty although us Blues thought it was and they agreed that Lescott's hauling down by Ferdinand should have been given. On fine lines are matches decided.
Romey 1878
I voted for Pienaar. Hibbert coming a very close second.
Guest efctaxi
Howard failed to save the penalty . He failed to score also . How can u give him man of the match ?
BlueBri
Went with Jags, But I have to say, over the last 6-8 weeks, it is becoming increasingly difficult to single people out. I thought everyone had a great game against an undeniably exceptional team. Their strikers had a miserable afternoon, even Ronaldo was quiet by his standards. Don't really know what Mikel was doing trailing his leg for the pen, but we all have moments of madness. Looking forwards to the derby again on wed, despite the RS beating Chelsea.
