Renaming The Main Stand

Recommended Posts

wud be nice, but i think they shud put the statue maybe on the corner of the park end and the bullens road. dont think there is much room for a statue next to dixie is there? hope they do something to honour him though

If they are thinking of renaming the Main Stand they need to perform some much needed improvments (and I don't mean a lick of paint and a few cheap flags on the outside) first as in its current state it's an embarrassment to the Great Man's name.

Last time I was in there (I usually go in the Park End) they still had wooden seats, is this still the case?

i wouldnt have a statue, thats Dixie's thing. but naming a stand would be nice. but rather it be in some sort of new stadium, but id still want a Gwladys Street in a new stadium;

The Brian Labone Stand

Gwladys Street

Renaming the stand is a fantastic idea, but statues should be reserved for those who have truly shone, no slur against Brian intended, but William was a one off and a statue is just too special. Sorry if I have trodden on toes here, but fairs fair.
