EFC-Paul
Pompey have been woeful and even the win in the Carling cup last week they where poor and with a gradual gain in form i can see this being a good win today, Aslong as we dont have a shocker and fall asleep i can see it being 0 - 4 Saha 2 Bily and Jo .................Howard................. Heitenga....Yobo........Distin....Baines .........Rodwell.......Fellaini......... Pienaar............................Bily ................Jo...................... ....................Saha.............. jamiemaher85
SOunds like Bily may miss out again due to his groin again. Shame. Cant wait to unleash Bily and Pienaar on each wing in the League. Neill is apparently pushing for a starting place though, I have heard good things from people who went to Hull about his first appearance. Sprooly
Both Steven Pienaar and Joseph Yobo have overcome knocks to return to the Everton starting XI for today's clash with Portsmouth. They are two of five changes made by David Moyes from the side that trounced Hull in the Carling Cup in midweek. Pienaar has overcome a foot injury and Yobo a hamstring problem to start at Fratton Park - with Tim Cahill, Louis Saha and Marouane Fellaini also back in the side. Tony Hibbert, Yakubu, Jo, Diniyar Bilyaletdinov and Dan Gosling are the players to make way as the manager continues to utilise all the fit senior players at his disposal to handle the demands of challenging on three fronts. Saha will lead the attack with Fellaini expected to provide support as the Blues revert to their more familiar formation after adopting a 4-4-2 system at the KC Stadium. John Heitinga will switch back to right back to allow captain Yobo to partner Sylvain Distin as the Frenchman returns to his former club. Leon Osman will return to the right flank as Cahill and Jack Rodwell anchor the midfield. Everton have yet to win on the road this term in the Premier League. Pompey go into the game on the back of six consecutive defeats - the worst ever start by a club to a Premier league season. -----------------------------------------Howard-------------------------------------------- Heintiga---------------------Yobo----------------------Distin----------------------------Baines Osman-----------------------Cahill----------------------Rodwell------------------------Pienaar -----------------------------------------Felliani---------------------------------------------------- -------------------------------------------Saha----------------------------------------------- will bill be on the bench? Sgt Pepper
This is the team today: Howard, Heitinga, Baines, Yobo, Distin, Osman, Cahill, Rodwell, Pienaar, Fellaini, Saha. This should be an easy win 3-0.
FairWooney
shame bilya's not starting in the prem yet but not complaining at bringing him in slowly if were getting results.
Ian C
Yeah will be awfully disappointed with anything less than 2-0. Mokoena is awful, and since they're playing a diamond midfield I can see him being completely bashed around by Cahill and Fellaini. Vanden Borre will make Ossie look good. Don't look a threat going forward either do they? Can't see them beating Yobo or Distin on our (and their ) current form. But bad form has to end somewhere, let's hope it isn't here.
