Guest Nikica
Sad time for all you guys from Liverpool. RIP.
Dalziel Kane
Remember the incident like yesterday. It was only because it was an all Merseyside final that the FA Cup final tie was allowed to go ahead. 96 supporters eventually lost their lives due to the gross negligence of the South Yorkshire Police constabulary and such a shame it took over 20 years for the families of those who lost loves ones to finally see a satisfactory level of justice. Liverpool were never really the same after this incident, and coupled with Arsenal's last game win at Anfield soon after, that denied them the league (double) and Dalglish's resignation a year or two later, it effectively brought to an end the dominance of the Anfield clubs stranglehold on the domestic league and european competition from the 70s and 80s. The real pity is, such an incident could so easily of been averted with a little commonsense and prudent thinking. RIP to all who lost their lives in Sheffield on that most unfortunate afternoon. You won't be forgotten.
