Bill Posted June 6, 2010 Report Posted June 6, 2010 Former Everton defender and captain, Tommy 'TE' Jones has died at the age of 80 after a long battle with illness. He enjoyed an 11-year career at Goodison Park in the 1950s and early 1960s. Originally employed as a left back, but then moving to the centre of defence, he made a total of 411 appearances for the Toffees. Tommy was a member of the side that were relegated in 1951, but came up again three years later. A shattered kneecap forced him to retire from football in 1961, at the age of 31. Tommy Jones ......
