Bill
Apparently going into Liquidation, unable to continue as a business. "The club's administrators believe it is likely that the club will be closed down and liquidated as they are unable to support the continued trading of the Championship outfit". MikeO
It's actually the club saying that according to the beeb Bill... '....administrator Andrew Andronikou insisted weekend talks could lead to a "satisfactory conclusion".' Lawyer thinking it may just be a Pompey tactic... '...lawyer Guy Thomas believes the latest development is likely to be a negotiating tactic. "This looks more like a shot across Gaydamak bow," Thomas of SA Law told BBC Sport. "Andronikou might well be hoping that the kind of public pressure that emerged with Manchester United's spat with Wayne Rooney will bring a change of heart from Gaydamak.' Yeah the club is being run by the administrators. "The statement read: "Portsmouth Football Club is extremely disappointed to report that it has not yet managed to achieve the exit from Administration, despite the extensive efforts of the Football League, NewCo, the Administrators and their various legal advisors". Matt
honestly think its a terrible thing. They won the FA Cup only a few seasons ago with some quality players and are now going to disappear?! Shows you how easy you can be screwed when someone who doesnt care about your club comes in as chairman, spends the cash without thinking or giving a damn and then buggers off (6 times).... Guest Reg Reagan
we wished this happened to the RS with Hicks and Gillet still in charge. But yes very sad for a club who won the FA Cup only 2 or 3 seasons ago.

Bill
Well Pompey have been saved. Not sure they have, I would be very aware of this Gaydamak fella, he doesnt seem like a "right and proper person". It might just have been postponed for a few months. Matt
just looked at the lower leagues and saw they finished bottom of league 1 with 32 points. Scary what can happen...

At least they still exist! Owned by the Pompey Supporters Trust now so could've been worse.
Dalziel Kane
We're going there at the weekend, but as a neutral observer, in a less than neutral city, a little sad to see the way that things have gone for them in recent years. FA cup glory in 2008, great times, then Redknapp fucks off and takes the best players with him, they get back to the FA cup final again (2010) against all odds, with of course a lesser side, but still a great achievement for the club. Were only in the EPL a year or two ago, and now look at them. Only from a neutral perspective, but it's a pity the way things have gone for them. Zoo
I feel for the fans of Portsmouth (or any club that goes under like they have) as it's not their fault at all. I've no love or hate for the club but only wish the best for the supporters sake. Matt
