Cahillsgirl
A squad of Everton u17s fly out to Brazil on Friday for 10 days to take part in the prestigous Future Champions Tournament 2010, held in Belo Horizonte, a host city in the 2014 World Cup. Teams are actually invited to the tournament through reputation and quality, so it is kind of an honour that we were asked to play, one of only 3 teams from Europe (Barcelona and PSG being the others) and that out of only 12 participating teams. There is a little bit more about it here: Blues u17s heading to Brazil We are in Group C with Corintians of Brazil and Club America of Mexico. The squad travelling is made up of some first year scholars (those born in 1994) and some u16s. Squad: 1. Mateusz Taudul 2. Ryan Higgins 3. Jasper Johns 4. Tyias Browning 5. Johan Hammar 6. Tom Molyneux 7. Adam Thomas 8. John Lundstram 9. Anton Forrester 10. Hallam Hope 11. Conor Grant 12. Chris Long 13. Russell Griffiths 14. Jack Golding 15. Gethin Jones 16. Adam Wixted 17. Ryan O'Reilly 18. George Waring Play Corinthians on Monday, Vasco Da Gama on Tuesday and Club America on Wednesday.

Cahillsgirl
Won 3-0. Think that means we top the group and are guarenteed at least 4th place...

scouse
The semi final kicks off at 5pm.. I don't understand how the timezone is only two hours behind ours though! thats 7pm our time right (sorry for being dumb)?
MikeO
I don't understand how the timezone is only two hours behind ours though! Because time zones are dictated by longitudinal lines, distance north or south is irrelevant....and the east coast of Brazil is actually not that far west of us....about half the distance to New York for example.
