Bailey Posted December 15, 2010 Report Share Posted December 15, 2010 I'm probably in the minority of one but I don't think Donovan is worth pursuing on loan. His reputation has snowballed and has reached cult status. I think people are expecting too much of him. If it's a permanent transfer then we may get three years out of him at his peak and I would take him but it seems a waste of vital resources as the loan fee could be spent to help bring in a permanent acquisition. I agree to an extent. He was good but not that amazing, the thing that made him good for us because we are generally shit on the right and he was direct, quick and he can pick a ball. I think he would be a solid PL player but nothing special and at his age spending around 10mil would be too much. I dont mind getting him back on loan but it should be for the 6months if possible.
