Which bands got their names from the following:

Took the name which was on the bass drum of a fictional band in a New Order video for New Order's song "Crystal".

To pay homage to one of their favourite songs by ska/reggae artist Prince Buster.

Named after a 1962 British horror movie.

From the book about an eccentric that works in a circus freak show.

From the father of the singer who used to shout to them when practising "Turn that music down it sounds like ......."

From their first practice studio was in the basement of a car repair shop, and they were the greats of their own basement studio.

Taken from a line in the David Bowie song "Jean Genie".

From kinetic sculptures that make music when wind blows through them.

Named after a high priestess from the planet Vulcan in the American TV series Star Trek.

From the British guitarist who started the band in New York, US.

Happy googling.

Clues to the three missing answers.

From their first practice studio was in the basement of a car repair shop, and they were the greats of their own basement studio. Think of what room they practised in and the girl desired it

From kinetic sculptures that make music when wind blows through them. Usually at the back of your house and usually seen at Chelsea Flower Show.

From the British guitarist who started the band in New York, US. The clue is in the guitarist(not his name) being the only non american in the band and it was a good job the rest of the band were not Xenophobic.

You should get them now.

Actually i thought it was because the blonde one wasn't sure on her alphabet, and bjorn (or whatever his name is) decided it best that she write the alphabet out.

Unfortunately they were writing it out on a train, and the table they lent on, had a mirror on the wall edge. The silly woman started too far across the page and only got the A and B out before hitting the mirror. Then it read AB (pre mirror) and BA (post).

Thus sub-sequently resulting in ABBA.

ABBA- they are the first letters of the names of each band member is it not?

Correct squire BUT it was a real easy one for Tenaciousj, however you can have the credit.

Now if only that was the real reason.
