Avinalaff
I guess that's your opinion. But I think 99% of all managers would have done the same in that particular situation. He wasn't having a good game, he had made mistakes, so you take him off and give him another go next week. I think I'd prefer to be subbed in that situation rather than keep playing when we were under tremendous pressure. It's one for debate. The fact we disagree is good for debate. In the first half, Barkley was clearly our best player. I'm more inclined to feel that the awful display in the 2nd half was to blame for Barkleys error. I still insist Moyes was poor, and needs to be questioned.

To be honest I thought Barkley wasn't all that in the first half either. He didn't do a lot wrong, but he didn't do anything positive either. But he's young so it's normal for him to have a bad game from time to time. And I agree with Moyes making some awful decisions, but I don't think taking Barkley off was one of them. (Also, I'd prefer Bily to feature as little as possible.)
Romey 1878
I thought Barkley had had a poor game right from the off tbh. He looked tired and lethargic, and gave the ball away through sloppiness a lot. Playing so much top level football in a short period of time looks to have taken it out of him. I totally agreed with Moyes' decision on this occasion.

Mogsy
As opposed to the other 2 not scoring full stop, brill! When he can score against prem opposition like the other two then fine! A half fit beckford can score more goals than a fully fit Vic!! As proved again today by him not scoring against prem opposition, just cause he scored against a team in div one doesn't mean he should start today, as he has consistently proved he can't perform at prem standard. And before you say 'well who else would have started?' I think the answer is obvious, Anybody but him!!

Hafnia
Dear dave, you are so predictably negative. I feel bad about writing this. It's a little bit like criticising the kid in Amsterdam with his fingers stopping the dam from collapsing just because he wears adidas 4 stripe. Go take your mrs for a £70,000 meal tonight cos you didn't earn your money today.
Mogsy
Didn't score though, and how many shots on target did he manage, would have rather seen vellios start than him, and if that didn't work out then a least we tried something new for a change! Avinalaff
Probably better in here. Today's match report We couldn't hit a barn door, With the team put out today. What were you thinking Mr Moyes, D'ya call that a display? Our strategy was pitiful, You didn't get it right, Call it what you want Bill, But our team were flipping shite. Hibbo sitting on the bench, While Nev was on the pitch, Chebes in Sambas pocket, Must have made his bollocks itch. Johnny H was out of place, And Jags nowhere in sight, I think you'll find the ref was blind, Cos our team were flipping shite. Fellaini was as useful, As a ball of cotton wool, If he's worth 15 million, Then the other one you can pull, If it wasn't for Tim Howard, We'd have been out like a light, Young Barkley lad, go tell yer dad, Our team were flipping shite. If Osman had been taller, He'd have maybe made us proud, If Bily hadn't found the stand, And Cahills goal allowed , If Beckford was on earlier, Instead of end of night, We won, we roared, as Arteta scored, But our team were flipping shite. Poor Blackburn must be seething, As they gather up their men. We're really very lucky, That not one can take a pen. So what of next week Davey, And our Aston Villa plight, It's time to get your finger out, For our team are flipping shite. COYB - or was it yellows? marcus jones
Jesus we won didn't we? Don't care if they have to shoot someone to get the three points, yeah ok we played poorly but Moyes will be smacking people around the chops come monday morning in training. I don't think we will see another performance like that one this side of xmas!

If that makes fans content I'll be surprised.

If that makes fans content I'll be surprised. I'm not content, I'm effin livid, some of those players who are masquerading as pro football players should be pulled by the Fraud Squad. Hell I wish we had signed that twat Barton now, at least he will get some fight into the rest of the team, are Moyes's feeling of hopelessness rubbing off on the team?
