Zoo
Post any bold predictions for the new season that you may have (and by bold I don't mean tipping Man City to get into the Top 4) or any opinions you have in football which seem to be against the rest of the footballing world. I'll start us off; - Everton to get into Europe in Martinez' first year in charge. - Real Madrid to win nothing this year. - Bournemouth will reach the Championship play-offs. - Newport County will challenge for promotion. - Newcastle United will go down. As far as un-popular opinions go I'll probably state mine as: - Steven Naismith is a good player and deserves a place in our team. - Joey Barton would be a good addition to Everton. Cornish Steve
This thread is just an excuse for you to reiterate your view that Joey Barton deserves to be at Everton. Yes, an unpopular opinion!
Zoo
This thread is just an excuse for you to reiterate your view that Joey Barton deserves to be at Everton. Yes, an unpopular opinion! Not really, I understand why people wouldn't want Barton here. Would I go around the forum creating threads to express my desire to sign him? Would I balls. There are much betters players out there I'm just saying on a free he might be worth a shot. Anyway, back OT.
Matt
Barton is a waste of oxygen and should NEVER be allowed near our club Naismith, based on preseason, should be given a chance. Sell him in January if he fails to carry it over We won't qualify for Europe by the league, but got a sneaky suspicion we will win a cup If Real get Bale, I expect them to win a double. Don't think the Toons will go down Don't know about the other 2 Controversial - I don't think we will finish in the top
Cornish Steve
A baker's dozen for you. 1) Once he's acclimatized, Deulefeu will be a real star this year 2) Fellaini will struggle at ManU and want to leave when they fail to win Champions League qualification 3) Baines will take over from Young as England's left back 4) At least one of our younger players will have a stellar season and be sold for over 20m 5) The three promoted teams will be relegated this season 6) Liverpool will be knocked out of all cups by teams from the lower divisions and will fire Brenda 7) Newcastle will be bottom of the table by Christmas and remain in the lower half of the table for the entire season 8) ManC owners will get bored and sell the team next summer 9) This will be Arsene Wenger's final season with Arsenal 10) Like last year, no English team will make it to the final four of the Champions League 11) With the introduction of goal line technology, there will now be a push for the right to challenge ref decisions through replays 12) There will be at least one scandal this year related to the rigging of games 13) England will struggle to qualify for the World Cup Edited August 7, 2013 by Cornish Steve
