MikeO
Credit where it's due... Z-Cars will be played at Anfield tonight in tribute to Rhys Jones. The 11-year-old who was murdered last week was a mad Evertonian, but his death has shocked the entire city of Liverpool and the Anfield club will play the Everton anthem before tonight's game against Toulouse. The move was suggested by the Liverpool Echo newspaper and Liverpool chief executive Rick Parry then discussed it with Rhys' parents Stephen and Melanie. Rhys' uncle Neil Jones said the family were pleased with the show of support and suggested Rhys himself would appreciate the gesture. He said: "When I told them about the proposed tribute at Anfield, Melanie said playing Johnny Todd at Anfield would be a unique event, a complete one-off, just like Rhys, and a fitting tribute to him as it was his favourite tune. "She's also pretty sure he'll have a little mischievous grin on his face at the thought of being the cause of it."

I'v not added my thoughts yet because I realy don't know what to say I just wish time could be rolled back on every pointless killing. My heart goes out to Owen and his family at this terrible time and I realy do hope they get the little shithouse who did this.
Claire
you may know i am the brother of rhys jones, owen, i would just like to say that from what i and my family have been told he was NOT shot at point blank range, 3 shots were fired, i dont know the exact distance but one found its way into the back of my brothers neck, this is definately murder, anybody who has info please come foward however insignificantly small you may think it is it may complete the jigsaw, thankyou, Owen My heart goes out to you and your family. I recently lost my Dad, he like Rhys was a true blue and I promise you he'll be looking after little Rhys up there, playing football with the Everton greats and watching over Goodison Park
Dunny the Blue
I know this post is late but i just wanted to say express my condolences to the Jones family. How anybody could needlessly take a child's life is beyond me. When I saw the funeral I'm not ashamed in saying I had tears in my eyes, I think the conduct of the family has been exceptional, Ive never witnessed bravery like theres before. They are REAL heroes. R.I.P Rhys

Blue 250
Happpy Birthday Rhys , Bless ya Son. Must have been a really tough day for his family! From what I've seen, Rhys's short life was blessed with great parents and family. In contrast to the low life that shot him....may HE never find peace!
