  1. Wigan have had bids accepted for two players, wouldnt be a bit surprised if Huth is the other one, along with Johnson. These two players would make a hell of a difference to our Team, and i'll be sick as a pig if we lose out on both of them..........to WIGAN FFS.
  2. Mike, any chance of you downsizing your Sig, every time i read a thread with a post from you on it, i have to scroll onto widescreen.
  3. @@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@ So if i see someone sitting in the Lower Gladys next year with his head on the seat next to him, I'll,know who it is. but hey Goldy i might be joining you, cos at the mo i'm laughing my fookin head off.
  4. Davey keeps coming out with Sayings like " We have our valuation of a player and will not be held to ransom". well with an attitude like that we will be beaten for every player we go after. Oh and by the way Davey, what was your valuation of Rooney..........piss poor, thats what.
  5. xavier said...................... "Traore is better than Neville at LB if Valente gets injured." @@@@@@@@@@@ have you forgotten we still have Naysmith and Pistone. ? but if we dont buy a centre half, we might need him there.
  6. Well it all depends on who the Chairman is, and Whelan is willing to fork out some money to make Wigan a big club, unlike Kenwright who has no fookin Money. Until we get some new board members, we will always be amongst the Paupers of the Prem. If we dont improve the squad this time with decent players, i'm all for getting shut of the present board. We cannot become a top club with bottom of the range board members, How about Jordan from Palace or Whelan from Wigan moving here, They would invest some money, and kick some arse. If jordan was in charge when we sold Rooney he would have got £40m not 20.
  7. Bravo to all you learn-ed people, probs the last book i read was Tom Browns Schooldays, way back in my own schooldays. Dont get time to sit around reading, theres so much going on in the outside world, and with your head stuck in a book your missing it all.............get out and enjoy your life, you only get the one.
  8. Think its all paper rumours, unless someones just invested £50 million into the club we will be lucky if we sign a striker and centre half.
  9. Any money should be spent in other areas of the squad, Midfield is not an area we need to improve on, its centre half and strikers that are a priority. I would'nt drop Neville, Cahill, Arteta, or Osman, to play Sidwell.
  10. MEDIOCRE PLAYERS.. dont believe you are admitting to having Mediocre players on your books, but if he is, why the fook should we take them, We got enough already.
  11. Reds paid £7m for Crouchinio, i know who i would rather have, and if the going rate is 8 or 9 million, then pay the fooker. Would rather have one good one than three average ones who are not going to improve the team at all. a la Bent, Kilbane, and Mc Fadden. Come on Kenwright, show us you mean business. A deal could be done to give Palace the opportunity to take some of our young starlets on loan, could benefit both clubs.
  12. PAT..... we all understand your unique outback Lingo. . Long may it continue.
  13. Zed said..................... I was born in Myrtle Street hospital. .................... SAME HERE. but just a bit before you Zed.
  14. You can say that again. We all know we need a proven striker but to pay anywhere near £10m for one is out of the question and like i have said before, these players are not born into the premier, they all work their way up from the lower leagues. could have had Dafoe from West Ham when they went down with lampard, Cole, Ferdinand. Could have got Ashton for less than a million when he was at Crewe. There is no way that Moysey is going to pay out that sort of money for a striker, Established or not. For £10M pounds you could get Cameron Jerome, Lee Trundle, Freddy Eastwood, and still have money over for a centre back. So Tricky Trev, come down from cuckoo-land into the real world and try being realistic. When a multi millionaire from the Eastern block countries, finds his way onto the Board at Goodison, that might be the time to think about spending £10m on a player, but sadly that is a long way off. Licker.
  15. Is he any better than what we already got, who would you leave out to play him. ??
  16. Freddie Eastwood............................. 2004/5.Meanwhile, free-scoring Eastwood scooped the Grays Golden Boot for his 37 goals this term as well as the Directors and Management award for Player of the Year. ........................ 2005/6Soccerword's League One Player of the Year Freddy Eastwood, Southend Eastwood led League One with 23 goals as he team claimed the league title on the final day of the season. Eastwood recorded two hattricks and scored both goal in Southend's 2-2 draw with Swansea in the season's penultimate match. Congratulations to Southend and Freddy Eastwood! .......................... Player of the year two years running, worth taking a chance on. ???? He's 23years old.
  17. I reckon we have 10 million to spend this time. I think the realistic targets were Johnson and Lescott. Johnson is out of reach now so we will bring someone else in, I would like the young centre back Lescott, and whatever is left we should be able to get a decent striker from somewhere. Whats this Pieroni fella like anybody Know.???
  18. with the ball skills he,s got you dont need pace. Eastwood..............33 games.....25 goals. Trundle..............34 games........21 goals. I'd take any of them for £2m, Cameron Jerome for £3m before Nugent for £4m, if A J is a no deal.
  19. Think if 7m cant get him its time to look somewhere else, Keane, Dafoe. If you are talking about lowering our targets, forget about Nugent cos they wanted 4m for him in january, How about a cheeky little 2mill bid for the leading scorer in all leagues last season, Freddy Eastwood from Southend, and i would still take a chance on Lee Trundle for a couple of Million.
  20. Maybe we havent, might be paper talk, even so i hope they do keep all their transfer business Quiet. ANNOUNCE IT WHEN THEY SIGN ON THE DOTTED LINE.
  21. Another Marcus Bent, we have to set our sights higher.
  22. have to agree with Fan 2007 on this one. AJ OR SIMILAR (KEANE OR DAFOE) must be the first priority, we already have Anichebe, Vaughan, and now Scott Spencer, as up and coming strikers for the future. We need an established 15 goals a season man to take some pressure off Beatie. In the last two seasons only the relegated sides have scored less goals than us, that department MUST be the priority for next season.
