  1. Absolute joke not 1 of them city players should be there. Mata, Sessegon, Dempsey, and Cabaye should all be nominated before them. Valencia, Scholes, and Sigurdsson this half of the season. Keeper wise Vorm, Ruddy, or El Habsi, De Gea has come along aswell. Harts barely been tested and is average in the pack when he has been.

Only the last 2 names are worth a nom for the youngst player of the year as well. Chamberlains barely seen the pitch.

I dont like McLean he's been found out now but made a big impact at first and should have had a mention. Nathan Dyer was doing well before injury. Moses, Allen and Pilkington deserve a mention to.

  2. haha your as thick as dagliesh if you think he's good never mind a centre mid

suarez gerrard agger lucas reina skirtel 6 players and all the rest are poor, only suarez is imo up there with the better players all the rest would get in our team but really your never going to challenge in europe with them either.

Were just as good in terms of ability as pointed out above but moyes does need to rethink how we go about creating chances because the way we played there the only way we were going to score was from an error or from setpiece it isnt good enough to go about winning like that, but this rodgers and lambert talk its bullshit there no better than moyes, moyes just needs to change instead of acting like a little kid.

Stop reading the papers and rewatch his games in the middle for Villa. Lucas is class but wouldnt want him next to Felli as they do the same role. Next to Felli I'd have Downing over Gibson any day.

  3. Carroll has had a shit season and Vic has scored a few off the bench yes, but would you really put money on Anichebe scoring more goals than Carroll over the next, say 5, seasons?

Kuyt is crap though. I would have Kelly, Agger, Suarez and Gerrard in our starting line up for sure

Anichebe suffers a Bramble-esque joke player status, there is a really good player we let Vaughan go ahead of him and Stuart Pearce begged Anichebe to play for England. He's much better than we give him credit for. Answer to the goals q, would depend on the manager if we have a attacking philosophy next year I'd see Anichebe getting more.

  4. 1. Gerrard is still a top, top player.

    2. Carroll is not a £35m player no way but he is leaps and bounds more effective than Vic, if he was ours we would accomodate him.

    3. Kuyt is an excellent player who would walk into our team.

    4. Suarez would get into most teams in the world - a tit - yes but no doubting his class.

The amount they've spent compared to us you'd expect a lot of their players to get into our team but the fact that there is not a lot of difference in quality between the 2 clubs then there is some credit due somewhere.

Anichebe has 5 goals in the quarter of amount of time it's took carroll to get to 4.

Kuyt can't even get in the Liverpool team

I'll take the agree to disagree option about Gerrard or Suarez as I'd just be repeating the same stuff from recent threads and bore you.

  5. Gerrard/Suarez/Kuyt/Carroll (etc.) wouldn't get in our team?

Not in a starting 11 and not in a squad if included the players I already mentioned. Gerrard is past it, Carroll is no better than Anichebe, Kuyt a squad player at best but no better than we have, and a player like Suarez wouldnt last 5 seconds in the famous royal blue.

    Howard

    Kelly Heitinga Distin Baines

    Bellamy Fellaini Downing Pienaar

    Osman

    Jelavic

Could argue for Reina as theres little in it, same with Agger but we have Jags and Duffy. Only player I'm actually jealous they have is Bellamy.

  6. Why are the commentators (&Chiles) suggesting it's somehow less controversial because Chelsea got five? It's an irrelevance, the score at the time of the goal is all that matters....2-0 makes it a totally different game than 1-0, specially in the cup.

Don't know how that man ever got a job in television, especially for anything to do with footy. He was shocking on motd, blatantly knows feck all about football, and doesnt make it up with any form of charisma/personality/likeability/talent add to that he has a face like a plastic bucket on a bon fire. It really baffles how he got a job in tv.

  7. Would he do that if he had this quality of player though?

We have better quality players then Liverpool, they started with a midfield of Downing, Spearing, Henderson and Gerrard we should have mauled them. Carragher and a 3rd choice keeper as well. Out of their whole squad only Kelly, Downing, and Bellamy would get anywhere near our team non would even start every week. Liverpool have only won 5 games at Anfield this year. Moyes bottled it scared of their history. Any other manager in the league would have done a better job y'day.

  8. None of that makes any difference if the manager is going to instruct the team to sit back and invite the other team on for 45mins.

Then blame the defence once we finally crumble. Should be sacked for laying the blame on Distin the comments after the game were disgraceful and disrespectful to the club/fans/players, as was his game plan. I can't see him getting offered a new contract or him having any plans to sign one anyway.

  9. With that stat though surely Moyes will see it's hopeless to go their to defend, and will have ago instead. If not the overwhelming urge of every Evertonian wanting to strangle the dithering Dave out of him should scare him to attack. That last game was a joke, he owes it to the fans to toggle his footymanager to gung ho.

  10. Same old same old at OT apparently (though I've not seen it).

Ashley Young swallow dive for another penalty....the man will get a reputation if he's not careful! Oh wait...he already has one...and the ref's still buy it.

He's a disgrace, it was a foul, but he was looking for it and made a meal of it. Should be looking to create a goal not force a pen. Remember a ref not giving one to Diouf for doing the same.

  11. They have now scored in 48 consecutive home games. Just hope Moyes doesn't see this as a challenge to park the bus. If we go at them I'm confident we can win (even to nil), if we go to defend we will be destroyed though, as their record indicates they will eventually break a team down.

  12. gutted today and yesterday, agree with most of what mark says.osman has a good spell of form each season but never a full season and never against liverpool, hes just not strong enough for big games and goes missing.

one thing for sure moyes will now have to look at his ageing squad and wield the axe and bring in younger players.

Osman's best ever game was against united. Liverpool's midfield is not even close to ours (Spearing and Henderson wouldnt get near any top 10 side), the fault is purely down to Moyes negativity he must be the only manager in the league scared of them.

  13. I don't want to see some people rake in profits and make money at the risk of horses getting injured or put down.

It's not always about the welfare of the animals, some people don't give a fuck about that, it's all about how much cash can be generated or make some winnings etc, too commercialized these days anyway as is everything it seems. I'll bet Aintree was a bit quiet today though.

Been a strange one this year everyone must be goin into town or police cutting off the people traffic, usually get a few nice ladies walking past and the pubs too busy to get a drink

  14. The fuck was that!? Jelavic the only player who looked like he wanted to score for us, the rest didn't show up. The pitch to big for Moyes or something should be ashamed of that performance they had their 3rd choice keeper we should have been testing him at least, only ever one team in it.
