Alfred Finnbogason
Iamryanstover replied to duncanmckenzieismagic's topic in Rumourama - Everton Transfer Rumours
Jozy has done great for AZ, and he is a physically imposing player, but I'm not sure he would fit in well with Everton for the same reason he struggles with USMNT, build up play. Everton and US both lack that creative guy in the middle to give strikers easy chances. To often its dibble outside then cut inside or cross. NEVER are there those moments where the opposite team is on their back feet with someone dribbling at them(Coleman is the exception, but he lacks the skill to turn those into goals) to feed a through ball to the forward. Both teams look for attackers to hold up play despite most of the teem being 20 yards deep. -

I would prefer to sign no strikers from the dutch league. Its to soft. MF's are a different story because they tend develop some really strong creative or strong holding players, but the dutch strikers seem to always struggle adapting to the physicality of the English game, and on Evertons budget we cannot afford to give a striker a full season to find his feet. -
Should have won by more today, but a pleasing win no less. Also appreciate the help from Wigan.

Guardian review of Everton's prospects
Iamryanstover replied to Louis's topic in General Everton Discussion
Maybe if we continue to do it after Moyes leaves? I have often wondered if some people in the media think Moyes and his ability to get and keep great players is the only thing that separates us from the 2nd class clubs. -

Its crazy how much we spend on wages compared to our turnover (78%), but I don't understand how Norwich have a larger commercial revenue than us. -
Keisuke Honda- creative, can score, and could maybe help the club break into the Japanese market.

Zoo, Don't feel bad. Many things here are not so great, and while I certainly love my country, I long to spend a few years abroad. For me its the whole language problem, work permit(although my girlfriends parents were both born in Poland so if we got married I could probably get an EU permit), and what would I do for a living. I try not to think about it to often because it gets me down.

Fellas you should check out Aereo(https://www.aereo.com/)(im on mobile and cant hotlink). It is 100% legal service. They just won a major lawsuit, and for like $10usd you can watch the major american broadcast channels(ABC, CBS, NBC, FOX, PBS) online via computer or mobile in full HD. The company that started it receives the broadcast signal overt the air and redistributes it online. The big broadcasters are making a huge fuss about it because of lost revenue. I dont know if its legal around the world, but its prob worth a look.

Jonathan Dos Santos

No he never gets in the 1st team, but then again even Thiago hasnt had a ton of starts this year. Its just too difficult to break into their 1st team. He has been highly respected as a top prospect for a long time, and last summer Sevilla were linked. I rember this right up from last year http://www.goal.com/en-us/news/4255/brent-latham/2012/09/05/3354689/brent-latham-jonathan-dos-santos-career-stalls-at-barcelona -
I really want to say the league, but as long as we finish in the top 7 I'll be happy, however I must admit I would love to win the FA cup. I think as a club we have to measure ourselves against the things we can accomplish. We can beat anyone on any day, but over a season we are gping to struggle to keep the pace with the sugar daddy teams. As we have proven each year we can and will finish ahead of some, but to finish above all seems a nearly impossible task.

Takeover imminent! lol

I had never heard of UKIP, but after reading up they are way far right. I have heard on the news lately there is a lot of people wanting GB to leave the EU. Any thoughts? If I was English I would prob be Labour Party. Im in a union, and politically working class people are who I care most about. Not that any of this matters really, but i digress. -

OMG i know what BNP is. Im actually center left, and not racist at all. It was a joke based off of one sided Chinese and western trade. -

The idea of a Chinese buyout is terrifying. I can see it now it will be just like trade with China. We will sell 2 first team players to a Chinese top division club and get one "hot prospect" back that will turn out to not even play football, but he will come to study to be the the clubs bew doctor. Then they will stop giving the players gatorade in favor of a cheaper Chinese product laced with lead. BTW... Sorry for the political rant. Have I ever mentioned I'm from Michigan? We used to manufacture many things. Now? Not so much. -
The optimist in me says we cant afford taking risks on a bum knee of 10 million The pessimist in me says the deal was always doomed, but was annouched so early to keep us happy, and Moyes and Fellani at the club. Reality is probably somewhere inbetween

I think because of how well Jelavic adapted last year people forget how huge of a jump it is between SPL and the Premier League, but like Romey said my hope that he will find a role is fading.

Twitter Transfer Rumours
Iamryanstover replied to Matt's topic in Rumourama - Everton Transfer Rumours
As an American I find this to be pretty damn funny. Pehaps has been shown before, but reddit has a legendary 'Murican forum I would recommend it to anyone who can have a laugh. www.reddit.com/r/MURICA -
I 1st started watching Everton because of Howard, who is my favorite USNT player, but as a whole I think the biggest growth is that Donovan, who is by far the most recognized USNT player, played at Everton. He was on ESPN every week while playing in England, and the fact that he has played well was relevant to many Americans, even non football fans.

Would Moyes leave if we win League / FA Cup this year?
Iamryanstover replied to Matt's topic in General Everton Discussion
DM will stay unless Man U or Arsenal offer their jobs. Chelsea, and Spurs I think have to much turnover for him to consider those positions. I also think he could stay here either till he retires, or the club lets him go. -

I completely trust Moyes, but like Mcfadden, and the other American keeper who played for Wolves. They are a waste of money because they offer nothing, and Mcfadden only played 7 games. Those could have gone to one of our young players who otherwise would get nothing. -
I thought it was a knight in charge of a fort.

Even I knew that, LOL, but sometimes I have to check things this lot says on Urban Dictionary for definitions of slang they use.

I would imagine that rumors like this one come from bored journalists who worry they will lose readers because they have nothing to write about till the next transfer window opens. 2 weeks after the window closes really? Screams of desperation.
