  1. So your saying you gave your daughter food poisoning so you could keep on the transfers? +1 for originality. That is dedication my friend.
  2. I listened to some of the match online (thanks for the link). I gave it to Mirallas for his 1st goal, but I really want to see the highlights. The announcer gave Naismith a lot of praise for his assist.
  3. Agreed, I didnt catch any preseason game, and I know some others on here have said he didnt look to solid, but with the way he finished last year I dont understand how Moyes can justify dropping him.
  4. That is a pretty generic statement since there is around 300million of us. Some do know what we are talking about. You should not even bother with bleacher report. Its a website full of people who know little to nothing, yet have the belief they belong on ESPN. I don't think Fellani can be stopped, but with his added roles in attack I hope he is able to get some rest from time to time. So he can stay in peak condition.
  5. Thats a good point. Did anyone ever figure out if Rangers has to pay back their previous debt after changing over, it does it just go away?
  6. Donovan, he joined during times when we couldnt score, and contributed to the teams upswing in form.
  7. You don't have to get so chippy about it.
  8. Elmander is a classy guy. Bolton bought him fir something like 7m (if I rememrber correctly he was their record signing) then he was shit for 2 years. His last year he was outstanding, and to repay Boltons faith and money he left on a free transfer. He is well suited to the English game though because he us strong enough to hold up play, and score with his feet and head.
  9. Yeah back at the beginning of July. I think Caulker has a ton of potential, but Moyes doesnt play young defenders.
  10. At least its a nearly tax free hole, and the beaches arent bad either.
  11. That escalted quickly right? If it is true... Ive gotta keep myself calm. I really hope this goes off (the transfer not anyone fapping over it)
  12. I would love to have him, but I dont think they will sell him for any reasonable price. They added a number of solid player from last years team, and i think they believe with Rhodes they can finish in or near a playoff spot, and TBH I am inclided to believe they can as well.
  13. Hes already been forgotten with me. Dude is to immature to be a successful footballer. On a side note imagine the kind of footballer you would have if you mixed Osmans heart and work ethic with drenthes natural ability.
  14. Yeah same thing happened last year with Chelsea and Jack Cork. I remember being disappointed when I saw how cheap the fee was, but he wanted 1st team football and he would have struggled to get it here.
  15. That goal he scored in their Derby game was wicked.
  16. Gibson has done a nice job of becong an important cog in our system, but I think we were playing a different type of game. I think Moyes wanted to see how we could function as an attacking team and pick up another goal. He had recognized that the game was over, and if he wants to try new tactics that's the best time IMO.
  17. Sorry if this is a re post, but after the match one of the announcers mentioned that the last time we won at Villa Park we qualified for the Champions League. Here is hoping it is a fortuitous sign of things to come.
  18. I went with Osman, but really it could have went to almost anyone today. What we saw today was 11 for 11 we were better than Villa at every position.
  19. Personally I hope Johnny is in the starting XI on Saturday to dispel these transfer rumors. I know he doesnt want to play 2nd fiddle, but with the amount of injuries we have had in recent years we cannot afford to lose anyone of his quality.
  20. I will second that notion. I feel pretty comfortable with most Moyes signings. He seems to put a lot of trust in his scouting team, and I would say that our scouting team is as good as you will find.
  21. I just got around to watching this video today. It was really interesting. I think money ball is a natural way to go for all sports, but like was said in the video the problem is how exactly do you quantify your data into a system that is beneficial. It also made sense that Spurs seem to rival us for many players because we are 2 of the big analytical clubs in the league.
  22. Bily lacksr Mirallas' pace, and his left foot mesmerized everyone. I caught the highlights of Spartak Moscows game with Fenerbache yesterday and Bily missed what wasnt quite a sitter, but wasnt far off either. Typical Bily.
