Toffee_in_LA reacted to Hafnia in John Stones
Fuck them off! Cheeky bastard calling us a smaller club.

lets look at it this way:-
£50m = £10m straight to Barnsley leaving £40m to us.
£40m in transfer money in Elstone language = 3 x £8m average players and the remainder going to agents fees etc and to pay off "operating costs" which will no doubt increase as a result of the money coming in.
So there you have it. Lose John stones and we get a similar scenario to when we lost Lescott (Distin, Bilyaletdinov and Heitinga).
For me I would use stones as an opportunity to make a statement that we arent to be pushed around.
I'm annoyed that some fans can't see past the fact that our commercial ineptitude leads other clubs to treat us so disgustingly bad. Its not just a case of money ruining the game, its that fact that we are paupers because of the poor way in which we have been run.
Put it this way, if Liverpool or Spurs owned Stones they would not sell for less than £60m - i'm being serious.

Arrogant prick. How did the story get out?! Because it's their tactics to unsettle the player.
Problem between Everton and stones... fuck off Jose.

Toffee_in_LA got a reaction from markjazzbassist in Excitement for 2015/16 Season
I miss having to wake up at 4-7 am (depending on where I was living) to cheer on Everton. It's funny how it got to a point where my roommates would be able to tell whether Everton got a good result or not depending on how I acted hours after a game finished. I'm truly excited for the season to eventually kick off... and will probably get frustrated like i have at many points on a game by game basis. But there are things, like the thrashing of Man U that you look forward to and I want that to be a part of my weekends again. Forever, COYB

Been optimistic at the start of every season for about forty-seven years, not going to change now.
We're currently equal top and anything is possible from there .

No problem, Romy. Glad we can help.

Would love it if he could push his way into the fold this season - it's easy to write a youngster off at 20 if he's not got in and around the 1st team but players like Osman and Ryan Mason show that not all players are ready at 18-21.

Toffee_in_LA reacted to StevO in Seamus Coleman
Or best not selling, or buying a new car. Because the car you've got is fast as fuck and is too much fun to drive. It doesn't even cost much to fill up, it's really economical which is unusual for such a fast car. And for one that's so highly tuned it's reliable too, hardly ever breaks down. Then once in a while you'll be blasting down a country lane and some cockney prick with a laptop tries to sell the thing while you're still driving, and probably tries to shaft you with PPI on the rusty Ford Escort they want to sell you to replace it.

Toffee_in_LA reacted to Oztoffee in Seamus Coleman
Can't believe some of you want to sell him. Apart from the fact that he occupies the one position in the team that we already have no back-up for, he's arguably the best in the Prem.
So you are proposing that we sell Coleman, have no back-up and have to bring in another player ,2 really, who of necessity would cost less (because we're having to buy 2 players) and thereby must not be as good and so weaken the squad?
What is the upside to this?
If the lad really wants to go, then go he must, but it's absolute madness to sell just because some twat team offers attractive cash for him just because they can. There has to be something in any deal that is good for both sides........this deal does not in any way favour the seller.
If we had 2 more backs on the books that are capable, and one can step up; great! But we haven't. Let's get some common sense into this thread FFS!

As a back up CB... I'd consider it. He could also help mentor Browning and Galloway. Would rather go in for Vidic than say Jonny Evans.

It was Rob Lee sadly, and he taught Haf all his pie eating skills.
