  1. Gana plays further forward when we don’t expect to have the ball and we press from the front. When we have the ball it seems Onana is the deeper one, trying to dictate play from the back. That’s about all I want to say in this miserable thread.
  2. Some reputable journalists have said this letter didn’t happen. TalkSport talking about the letter as if it was fact today. Cheap shots all round.
  3. They sent a letter to them? I wonder which address they used? Their office address maybe? In Miami. When all of their execs are in the UK. Or are they hunting them down to deliver it to their hotel rooms? These stories would make me laugh if they all weren’t so ridiculous.
  4. I’m not going to post videos, but Mister Drone has been asked to cover the roofing of the north stand by the company supplying the top skin. There should be videos on his YouTube channel every day this week. Yesterdays was interesting to see how it’s done, but does look scary seeing a shipping container suspended high up in the air.
  5. When it comes to fit and proper persons test, they have bought or invested into seven other clubs already. Every major league has their own equivalent for and proper persons test. If they got through them before I’m sure they will again. Do we expect our organisations to be more strict than any of the others? I’m sure they like to think their shit doesn’t stink down at the Premier League and the FA, but i doubt that’s the case.
  6. He’s frustrating, but he is dangerous. I wish he would pass the ball rather than shoot a lot of the time, we may have scored a couple more, but if he was a better decision maker he would probably be elsewhere. He suits our counter attacking style though.
  7. They might bite now, but honestly think the second half was the worst he’s played this season. A few dodgy moments on the ball and felt like they got the better of him on occasion. No insult though, his development has been great and I’m enjoying watching it. Seriously exciting player, for a defender.
  8. Last five games, winning three, draw one and lost one. Progress?
  9. I’ve been on this site for way too long for any of you to think I was being serious.
  10. As the western terrace has started to be built, here is a useful video for those wanting more info.
  11. He’s got three years left, and we’re skint. Sorry Jarrad, you’re here until 2026 and you’ll be paid peanuts. Deal with it!! I wonder if the extra money he would get with a pay rise would be worth playing hard ball? If he was to go on £100k per week for the next three years it would cost us an extra £12/13m or so. We’ll sell him anyway, so fuck it. He can stay on £15k per week.
  12. Not sure if everyone is aware of this, but football clubs give out sleeping pills like cola bottles. Away trip with travel time, sleeping pill for the journey. After a night game, sleeping pill. Early kick off tomorrow, sleeping pill. Not had enough rest last night, sleeping pill for the afternoon nap. It’s not like the doctor has to sign a prescription and the player takes it to the local pharmacy and picks up the order. The doctor hands the drugs over there and then, ready to go. They have stock of this stuff. They give them out that often that sleeping pills on a players medical history won’t raise any red flags, they are all on them. Using them to stay awake, fight the sleep and get high, that’s a problem. This was one of Dele’s points in the Neville interview, that they are so common in the game and so easy to get hold of that he believes there are many more players with an addiction to them.
  13. Who do I need to donate money to just to make my eyes never see that again?
  14. I’ve no issue with Spurs, I just think it’s harsh to say Dele doesn’t have what’s required mentally or physically. If he doesn’t have what’s required mentally or physically that can’t be anything to do with the deal, that’s a direct opinion on the player not the deal. They are two separate things and can’t be context together. Its not like if it was a better deal it would change Dele. The context of the deal doesn’t change him physically or mentally. If you think it does then fine. What he did against Palace shows what he can do physically, so is relevant if he’s not got what’s required as he has shown what he can do. It may also be a glimpse into what he can do mentally, but we’ll never know what his mindset was that night.
  15. The clauses in his contract will have a time limit, likely the end of his contract. Wouldn’t matter when he signs a new one.
  16. I don’t see any context that changes it. Whether the deal was good or bad is irrelevant of Dele having what’s required physically or mentally. I’ll remind everyone again, it may have only been 45 minutes, but against Palace when we needed him he showed exactly what he’s capable of. If, and it’s a big if, we can get him playing like that again then he walks into this team.
  17. I like him being further forward, as it really helps us press higher up the pitch. The trade off is when he actually gets the ball he just might have a shot, and no one wants that!!
  18. He’s also a senior pro who has won everything in the game, so you would think he is having a positive effect in the background. I’m sure he is showing high standards to his team mates (I don’t mean on field performance by that either) and I don’t doubt that we have many players who are behind in those standards.
  19. Has that “long ball league” got Man City in third? Alright then!
  20. Me and my mate had a conversation about all the things we could do if Everton went out of business. We both agree we wouldn’t continue to follow football (we’re Evertonians, not football fans), could probably afford an extra holiday or maybe two each year (my family would be happy) and I could play more golf. It all sounded pretty nice to be honest, and a lot less stressful.
