  1. I was once told that men don’t grow up, we just get older.
  2. In terms of ability and experience, that’s the difference. Chermiti hasn’t even played in 40 games yet, and half of his experience was for the B team playing in the third tier. In terms of experience he’s a baby. In any other industry he would also be a baby, he’s a teenager. Branthwaite was only 21 in June. He had only just turned 20 when he went to PSV and played most of a season in top flight football. He also played for our first team at 18, he had also played for Carlisles first team 14 times before he played for us. Add in the loan at Blackburn; for a 21 year old (even more so for a defender who typically come through later due to the risk) I’d say he’s very experienced for a 21 year old. Onana only really got into first team football at 20, but was playing for Belgium at 21. Clearly showed a lot of potential ability, but not creating waves as a teenager. Garner. By the time he joined Everton at 20 he had played more than 80 games in the Championship over two seasons. Very experienced. Chermiti could be like Onana and catch the eye at 20 and start showing what he can do. He might be like Garner and break in while he’s still 18. But in terms of experience and ability, right now he’s just a kid with potential. Luckily for us and for him we have DCL and Beto, so he doesn’t need to play and can take his time to learn.
  3. Rooney and Chermiti are very very different. Rooney could have played in the premier league at 14 and still been a half decent player. I’ll have to trust you on Gordon West.
  4. Just a kid. Won’t see anything much from him for at least a couple of years, if at all. Very much a risk, but hopefully one worth taking.
  5. Is this the podcast Dyche listens to before he picks the team?
  6. We literally spent all summer trying to get Beto. Just because you weren’t reading about it every day in the papers doesn’t mean it’s not happening.
  7. Patterson started the season, didn’t exactly do well. Mykolenko was injured and when fit he got back in the team. Patterson got dropped, I suspect if Coleman was fit he would have been dropped then too.
  8. I’m pretty sure Danjuma played in almost every game we lost so far this season. He’s had a chance, he just didn’t impress the manager. Surely? Hes got talent, but he seems to make the wrong decision a lot when he gets into the box. I’d like to see more of him though.
  9. Did your inside contacts not tell you that after returning late for preseason (due to the euros) Branthwaite missed ten more days of training with injury? So when the season started he wasn’t fully fit. Dyche even said this publicly after he put him in the team.
  10. Myko and Patterson hadn’t exactly set the world alight. All of our full backs are a problem. It’s not about who he likes, it’s about who he trusts. Jesus Christ. Moshiri says the fans sack the players, and Dyche has podcasts picking the team. What a fine mess we are in, or would be if this was true.
  11. Dropping a player for being late is a disciplinary reason. For all we know it could be third, fourth, fifth time it’s happened. But Dyche kept it in house anyway and said it was tactical.
  12. Internet Warrior I feel sorry for the podcasters who have been offended. Jesus Christ. He’s given them something to talk about.
  13. I honestly can’t say I’m on the side of Israel. Neither could I say I’m on the side of Palestine. I’ve met Israeli’s who think they are right, I’ve met Palestinians who live in Israel who have been persecuted all of their lives. There isn’t a chance I could pick a side in this. It’s a bloody mess, and I don’t see it being resolved in my life time. I just wish the world was a less divided place. War all over the place, politics putting neighbours in opposition with each other, hatred being part of daily life. It’s just a mess.
  14. That’s clearly a girls drink, Mike. What were you thinking? Can’t you see the pink cans?
  15. @Hafnia I tried to merge two posts I made, but ended up editing your post by mistake. Answer is there anyway.
  16. I started using it a few months ago, sleeping so much better now. I use gummy sweets though, rather than oil.
  17. Gana plays further forward when we don’t expect to have the ball and we press from the front. When we have the ball it seems Onana is the deeper one, trying to dictate play from the back. That’s about all I want to say in this miserable thread.
