  1. Maybe because we've gone through the 'right' channels then we have got a leg to stand on but if Portsmouth have hidden some of the deal when submiting the paper to the registration dept of FA then they are in breach. Just an idea.
  2. Wouldn't have thought so, could bring that Arbeola (sp?) on as a sub later on in the game if they are in the lead. But its the eve of the game and I've got a little confident of nicking this 2-1 think it helps with all the arguing with the red shite of late. I'd love, just love it if we beat them (Keegan anyone )
  3. I'm sure that can be overcome...last time I got a train back from Darlo (think) it cost £35 quid return. And I'm sure one of the lads will put you up for a couple nights. That way, you can come down, go to training (whatever day that is), go an everton game then after the game go on a TT piss up
  4. Played last year in it with me mates on a sunday. Was pretty good actually, would recommend it if theres a few people who can drive there good fun There also do a 6 a side (which we played in) as well on a 'fake' pitch but bigger with higher goals than 5-a-side (the goals are about 6' tall) . Some silly refs though who let anything go, so would suite some of the players who always get red cards such as Mark and Craccer
  5. I would have but back at uni in a couple of weeks. I'm sure you'll have enough volunteers for more that one team I've always wanted to get my coachin badges and still hopeful of doing them soon, just got to find out when they are next doing them...
  6. Happy birthday, have a good one.
  7. I agree, they made too many gambles but what would have happened if they paid off? The players they bought were 'valued' at that price, Inter was in for Maccarone (and again my mates loved him, think it was out of pity tho) so he must have had some potential, probably another Jeffers incident though. They have signed some shockers tho, most notably Doriva.
  8. Its not called that anymore, think Louis posted a link to the details and it said it changed its name from Arnie to somethin else for political reason (can't remember what they are) No doubt it'll be named after the company who pays for it.
  9. Wouldn't say Mendieta was a poor signing at all. Cost Lazio about 30mil and boro picked him up for buttons. I got a few boro fans from time spent up there and they worshipped the ground when they won their 1st bit of silverware and its only cos of a string of injuries and a bust up he left.
  10. Ronaldo always had a weight problem, ever since he did his knee ligaments in at Inter. Hes a good player but not as good as he should have been at Real, too much partying.
  11. I am, but it means he made the same mistake as a manager 'they' consider to be the best manager for buying players. I don't see it myself, how anyone can go on about bad signings. Every player someone buys is a gamble, of course there is going to be the odd bad one. Not every tin of beans and sausages contains 8 sausages
  12. Didn't he buy Beckham and Ronaldo? Hardly lit up La Liga when they played for Real. Edit* On about Vicente Del Bosque by the way Also Arsene Wenger...Wright?!? Cygan?!? There was an interesting article about players who Arsne signed and made it at Arsenal and who they gave up on. Was quite interesting and certainly showed he made a few mistakes...
  13. Seems ideal to me. Not an Everton fan the land owner then . Surprise Stevo aint turned this into what stadium they want built there. I did like the AOL one when u lot talked about it
  14. haha, couldn't see that in work (stupid old comps) but thats mint. Yeah Zed, love the fact he tries to redeem himself a little by flicking the ball up but couldn't do that.
  15. I agree with Zed (), he looked more that ok when we played him. Very disappointed, another backup defender gone. Hope we don't get screwed because of this
  16. Think someone didn't read the post properly
  17. Yeah I like him too, I remember one game I think against Wimbledon and he was a sub. He was warming up infront of us and someone shouted "Bally! Boy or girl?" (In reference to his missus givin birth earlier that week) He came back stoped in front of us and did some 'stretches' (kept lookin at the dugout so he weren;t caught chattin with the fans), he said "boy" to which the guy behind me says "he gonna be playin for Everton when hes older?" Ball laughed and replied "most definately" then said "enjoy the rest of the match" and ran back to the dugout. I was very gutted when he left.
  18. How do you define if someone is past it? Hasn't he scored in all premiership starts this season? If hes still scoring I don't see why everyone is worried. Its an extra man on loan, its not like we'll be paying £7mill for him. Would like to know how much of his contract we'll be payin tho...
  19. Cole ticks three of them boxes. Exactly what I was thinking. He could teach them a few tricks of the trade... Not saying I'd be thrilled with Cole being here but I wouldn't be exactly gutted if he did.
  20. Yeah just read that too, can't believe how many things are changed for Liverpool. Sayin that though I do agree that he should be allowed to move, hes hardly been a first teamer at WHU but no doubt if Everton wanted to sign him they wouldn't let us...
  21. I do like your first idea Louis, sounds like it could be quite interesting. As for the second its a nice idea but without the 'big' teams in the cup I think they sponsor money and even prize money would be half as much
  22. LOL, Talking about Aussie adverts, what was the Tooheys Super Cold radio advert all about. Apparently it broke the AASB (Australian Advertising Standards Board) rule of ethics as it had English people singing Land of Hope and Glory but replaced the lyrics with synonyms of whinge? No doubt a Melburnian (or other hating English cities) thought of that idea
  23. I've never cared what the RS fans think or say and never will. Cos its a Derby, anything can happen but at the moment I predict we'll get beat. Sorry but thats just a feeling and has nothing to do with my support of the club at all. I've never been the most pessimistic person and always thought we have a chance against anyone but on this occasion its just a feeling I have. You never know, as the week progresses I might get into the hype of the derby and feel more positive but atm I don't. Ditto (agree to disagree springs to mind )
