  1. If we get (its a big IF) our money back on Kroldrup - then we will have £7m at our disposal (according to Moyes interview on Sky Sports - the board are very good at releasing the money!) Thats Robbie Keane!?
  2. Still--- man of the match for me was Osman - absolutely top quailty his skill and touch was better than anyone elses on the pich - Cahill was everywhere and didn't let up at all - great performance all round really - just wish that we could finish a bit better or more clinically! DONT SELL KROLDRUP
  3. back to Per - he had a good game - he still aint great in the air - dont think he has adjusted to the English high/long ball game yet - but towards the last 20 minutes he seemed to find his stride and nothing got past him - infact he was cool, calm and collected at the back and rarely thumped it away - instead looked for a pass to feet! Which is different for Everton! I will be upset if he goes to Fiorentina - he has only just started to break through - I reckon Moyes should keep him!
  4. Jesus - he played well last night as well - so he must be going! We already have a samll squad with a load of injuries - what is he doign even considering selling another player?
  5. personal experience - do tell!! the ex-trainee Physio from Ipswich works at my place (Shell UK) and she said that he is a complete arrogant twat. however - I hope that Moyes has somebody lined up to replace him... Our squad was already at a minimum!
  6. Dont reckon that Kroldrup is going anywhere - he's a decent player, needing time to adjust and we have lost Yobo (our best defender) to the AFCON - and the only over cover that we have is Weir! Kroldrup has to stay!
  7. Its sad really - he could have made a name for himself at Goodison. I thought that he had a good touch and stupid amount of pace - but he never really had the heart. I hope that a move resurrects his career for him (but not for us) £2.5m is a good bit of business by Moyes. Hopefully he will get his hands on all of the cash and it enables him to buy somebody else to replace Marcus. The downside to him moving is that we are another player short in our bare squad. Lets sign someone --- please!
  8. he bought pompey because - he is a russian billionaire that probably has a load of dirty money that needs moving. Pompey have planning permission for a new stadium and are the only team in Portsmouth - therefore they get a lot of backing from their local council. He can hide as much money as he likes inside of a 40-50,000 seater stadium. He can fiddle attendances, spend money on players and give everyone a company car at the club - significantly lowering his tax bill and hiding the dirty cash. Everton are a few years away from even getting planning permission for a ground and have a large number of 'nosey' share holders that would want to know what was going on - Pompey has no problems where accepting money is concerned. Plus - it was already owned by a dirty russian businessman who probably owed money to the new guy so allowed him in for that purpose. its all a bit KGB
  9. I rate Osman. Davies isn't for me i'm afraid - I can't see how his style of play fits with the rest of the team and it showed when he was missing against Charlton. the midfield was much more organised and solid without him - nobody wandered out of position. the guy needs to be taught how to play in position and zonal mark!
  10. not really yeah - but EArnshaw is alien ugly and not very good at his job. would rather not dabble with the two bag shag man! (Rumour is that the birds make him wear a bag on his head and they wear one too incase his falls off!)
  11. We're in super big trouble on Saturday i feel - hmmm....LuaLua - hasn't scored many - until.....
  12. At this point, Marco Materazzi springs to mind. Quality but not given the opportunity
  13. I'm with Fozzie - its hardly anything to write home about... Trying to get involved with this guy is simply clutching and straws and shows how desparate our fans are to see a January signing. I'd personally rather not sign anyone than sign sicknotes and players that have been released by blackburn.
  14. Yeah - okay - but look at the £55k a week Parker and emre combo - thats £110k a week for nothing, plus a huge physio and treatment bill - good 'buys' them! we have touched lucky on that front - okay, Beattie aint no superstar but I think he may come good - his performance against charlton was superb and I hear that his millwall performance was good too (when he came off the bench!). lets just give it time.
  15. No, no, no - we need QUALITY not UGLY. hes ugly and Welsh - it'll never work
  16. No - I have been disappointed with him - thought that he was much better - considering that only a season ago the RS where interested in him... It might just be a settling in thing or confidence - I think that he has a lot more to offer - but not sure he will be allowed the time to prove his salt to the fans and management... heres hoping that Fozzie's early prediction is wrong, however I doubt it!
  17. He's a good player and he is young. I agree that he plays well in the CB role but he was competent in the left back position. I wouldn't want to send him back - he is a definite first team candidate and we should aim to keep him at Goodison.
  18. It is a case of not having money but its also a case of finding the right type of player. What is the point of spending £5m on a player that may not produce the goods - I'd rather not sign him!
  19. I wouldn't be disappointed with any of the players you named Saw. Why - they are all mercenaries and crocks. Every one of them has spent half of the season (so far) on the physio table. Souness is pulling his hair out at the injuries he has had this year. Forssell hasn't played for birmingham (3 starts) due to injury and Bellamey has been injured on and off all season. We already have our own worries injury wise - the last thing we needed was more sicknotes - and almost every player we were associated with was a sicknote!
  20. He was here for 3.5 seasons. Minus the 0.5 seasons when he knew he was in the shop window - and you are left with 3 seasons - lets analyse them. He wasn't the best was he! Who can't remember how many times the fans lost their voice screaming 'what the fcuk are you doin' at some of his passes. Often its said that Yobo is good but expect a mistake a game. Gravesen isn't as good and you can expect umpteen mistakes a game. United can have him, Newcastle can have him. You can't judge a player based on a good half season. Look at his past performances over three years at Goodison - 5/10 at best (overall) and his previous clubs did not think much of him either. His current club can't wait to get shut of him and all because he has been made out to be something that he is not. Although ugly and brutish, he was never a big hard tackler - thats something his image has built him up to be. Real Madrid my arse! If we got him back, where would he fit in? If we got him back, how much would you pay him? INteresting fact.... in three seasons he got man of the match 9 times. In one half season...he got the same gong 11 times. He knew he was in the shop window and HE KNEW madrid where interested in buying a battler....raised game for the scouts?
  21. True - he has never ever been fantastic...I think that we should leave this one...we aren't desparate are we?!
  22. Is this the kind of bid that is called audacious? Or is that what we describe the Matt Jansan link as?!
  23. I believe that he asked an Irish Bank robber for the money - but he was skint too!
  24. But he is right - Jansen is just within our financial viability
  25. POssibly lies - but like the old saying...there aint smoke without fire?!?!
