  1. Read today that UEFA has finally taken steps to rule out the opinion(s) of the coveted G14 organisation - by stating that closed villages within Football should not be allowed. The G14, for those that don't know, is an organisation setup by the self-acclaimed top'14' teams in europe. (of which, surprise surprise, the RS are included). The door to the G14 is firmly locked for other clubs that were not originally involved (unless you have russian millions to buy your way in). UEFA believes that the G14 should be dispanded or should allow all clubs to enter into is membership - otherwise it will be disregarded as a voice in football. Apparently, the G14 has asked that FIFA and UEFA allow clubs to overall international call-ups and pay compensation to clubs when players are injured whilst on international duty. the cheeky bastards at G14 asked for a pre-payment of $800m to be split amongst the 14-18 clubs as compensation incase a player is injured whilst representing his club. Where a player plays for his country but is not involved with a club in the G14, no compensation would be paid.... UEFA are laughing at this suggestion and feel it time to dispand a power thursty group that has self appointed itself as an organisation within football. My view - I hope it is dispanded and UEFA fines all involved for creating a group policy that goes against freedom of speech and footballing rules... HAHAHAHHA
  2. Its surely sheer speculation. ANyway - why didn't he put a bet on then???? I've heard that Liverpool are asking UEFA for special dispensation to stay in the CL after being knocked out by Benfica. Apparently, although Benfica did win, it should not be counted as the goals were unstoppable and never really gave liverpool a fair chance to win the game. Plus, liverpool, on paper are by far the best side and UEFA should consider this - wy would they want a poorer side in the later stages of the competition?? I reckon that they could be in with a shout - okay, anybody else would have had the phone slammed down on them after the first line - but this the RS we are talking about.
  3. Maybe so but Kendall thought that Everton were starting to play the long ball game (if only he could look to the future and see that during the 90's that was ALL we played - long ball!) and decided that we needed to play more football on the floor. Big money was offered (at the time) and Kendall took it. Linekar, great loss as he was, never won anything as you rightly said but... kendall was proved correct, the next year we stole the league without him. Kendall - if only he could have said no the the scottish malt in front of him!!!
  4. cheers thats fine - just want a fairly decent sized one to re-create as pop-art on canvas!! Make look good...who knows?!?!
  5. Has anybody got any decent pictures (large size) on their computer of Big Dunc if so, PM me
  6. Panic over then? Or is this the 'I aint leaving' speech that all players make just after they have penned a deal with another club? I hope that he aint leaving - especially for the RS - would be gutted. And whats more, I doubt he would have anything to do with it - if he leaves it will be for the cash... I remember Linekar leaving - everyone was gutted but at least Kendall had the sense to sell him to Barca...not Liverpool.
  7. Ahh BIG DUNC Signed in 1994 Has received 8 red cards whilst in a blue shirt Has received 32 Yellow cards whilst in a blue shirt. That equates to.... 7 x 3 + 1 x 7 = 28 game ban for red card offences 32/5 = 6 game yellow card ban add to this the month that he spent in jail, (where he potentially missed 4 games) - thats a total of 38 games missed through suspension. THATS ONE SEASON IN EVERY 10 THAT HE MISSES THROUGH SUSPENSION ALONE! Hardly worthy of legendary status...but on the other hand... He is the only player that has held a tourch for this club whilst others left as the wheels fell off. Big Dunc is the only iconic figure of the 90's that evertonians could look at for inspiration of some sort. Ok, he has made some dreadful mistakes in his playing career - but who else has shown the same passion? Who else has shown the grit and determination when faced with relegation and massive amounts of criticism from the footballing world...? Big Dunc - he is the only one...is that enough to put a picture of him in the hall of fame at Goodison? Some would say yes.
  8. IF Beattie scores a derby hat trick then I will dance around Lime street butt naked singing You'll never walk alone to all the RS fans that are catching the train back to Essex. (Thats a lot of R/S fans)
  9. Hi All, aint been on for a while so i dont know if this has been discussed. Rumour mill is turning out another one... apparently Arteta is being prep'd for a move to the dark side in the close season. According to a report on toffeeweb, he is going to sign for the shite sometime soon.... anyone heard anything?!
  10. Guys (& Gals), I have been Everton fan all of my life. I love the blues and I have seen both happy and miserable times within the walls of the stronhold Goodison. But its very nice to hear that we have broken a record - first time we have notched up 6 consecutive wins at home - thats 18 points and its nice!!!! Beattie is playing out of his skin - infact its fantastic to watch. He's all over the park and although he didn't score on Saturday, his presence and battling allowed others in to score. FANTASTIC. He has come good and our results have improve 10 fold - what does that say about the man?! OSman, Cahill and ...ARTETA - fooking superb. Its been a long time since somebody has impressed me as much as Arteta - I hope that VDM can match his style on the other side of the pitch... Its great being an evertonian at the moment. Lets hope that we stick one up the RS this weekend...would be nice, wouldnt it!!!!
  11. I cant believe that there is a debate as to who is better - BT or Crouch. Lets put it this way - if crouch was at ANY other club that deserves his style of play (i.e. Rotherham) - he would not get a game for club or country. He is only getting a game at the RS because Fowler Aka DOG (Er...I mean GOD apparently!) and Morientes are sooo shite. Beattie - running around the pitch - very strong, scoring good goals at the moment, making a nuisance of himself.... How can anybody possibly put BT and crouch in the same league let alone performance bracket. Its a disgrace that crouchinho is even considered for his country, let alone picked for the squad, let alone picked for the starting 11 - especially when BT is not getting a sniff. Sven - cant wait until he gets the boot!
  12. Crouchinho... swp turned the game around Crouch is shite - end of
  13. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/t...pur/4771712.stm WE can forget all about him...
  14. True , true .. . but Kendall (legend) doesn't know how to spend big money. Its going to have to be somebody like Robson or Venables. Someone not scared of airing their views and certainly not scared when it comes to spending somebody elses money.
  15. Yeah but really... everytime that there is a cock up (In any club) or a player leaves almost unannounced, there is always a 'apparently' story to accompany it. Sure, some of them are probably along the right lines. But most of them are complete fantasy. The club can not hide the difference between taking £700,000 and £3.6m in its books, it is impossible to do. Also, for tax purposes, the real figure would not less than that published - why would it be? Surely the tax man would tip up with a bill based on £3.6m and want proof that it was a hoax...then we would get to hear about that ... especially the share holders. At the end of the day - if kroldrup was as poor as the narrative above describes, then Fiorentina would not have signed him - AND played him in the same week. would they?
  16. the skunks broke our good run. But this will be a real difficult game - they are bit like fulham, you never know what team you are gonna get - the one that you can turn over or the one that turns you over! Knowing EFC's luck, we will probably get the team that turns US over! 2-0 west ham or a scrappy 1-0 win for us.
  17. If BT carries on playing like that of late - then he could pip somebody to a world cup place - but its unlikely. He is a good player and he is finding his feet. Most of my RS mates would swap him for Morientes or crouch at the drop of a hat. He is starting to impress and I think, when Moyes pulls the finger out and signs another striker, BT will come good. Top quality!
  18. if Farelly manages like he played, then the EFC under 12's should do these potato pickers 8-0 all day. eircom premier league - get real!! what a load of shite.
  19. Would like to add that Solano's second goal was poor defending by Valente - but what a finish! Westerveld was solid I thought and had a good game - had no chance with either goals. Quite confident for somebody who has trained once with the players in front of him and hasn't played 1st team football for a while. (or Reserve team football for that matter!
  20. I thought that our downfall was the fact that BT (who is playing very well) was again on his own. McFadden plays well with him (coz BT pulls defenders away). There were some proper good crosses put in from all angles but we had nothing in the final 3rd to attack the ball and make the difference. Infact our two best chances came from set piece headers from Weir!!! We are not deadly enough up front, BT cant do it onhis own. We looked much, much better when we went 4-4-2 and newcastle were there for the taking. Had we signed a poacher with pace, the result would have been different. Yobo was shit and he cant play RB - he was lost for a lot of the Skunks attacks. Bad mistake using him. We missed Hibbo at the back. Midfield was v.good and showed the skunks multimillion pound set-up how to play, which was nice since they all could have been EFC players. overall...gutted...we should have picked 3 points up at the skunks. Next up, a big, big game against West Ham...
  21. Answering this I had to think ...would Beattie stay at Goodison?!?! If he got an ENgland call up this world cup and managed to get a game - he would probably play well with a decent strike partner such as Owen - but that will reflect badly on us - and he will want the same support and service at club level - and we all know that Moyes aint the best when it comes to signing a striker to partner BT. I think that he shows the passion to want to win - but I am not yet sure that he shows blue passion - and there is a difference and there lies the answer to your question... unless he signs a lifetime contract and works his arse off every game, then no, he wont be the new dunc. IF he continues and shows this desire he has recently found - then yes, a mini me will be born. I am starting to really like BT because his performances are coming good and is confidence is raised. I know that the RS would love to have him over Crouch - some of the chances that they had against Chelsea, BT would have easily popped them in!! Certainly has the potential to be a great...lets wait and see.
  22. Unfortunately - however you look at it - the mindless act of 'attacking an ambulance' was undertaken by people of this city. Thats the same people that you, whether blue or red, share a lot of things with. Its disappointing that a few idiots have yet again let us all down in front of the countries and world's most popular sporting fans. Its disgraceful that some people thought they were doing good by attacking an ambulance just because it had a man utd player in it. I hate Alan Smith - cant stand him but that doesnt mean I would condone the actions of a few nobs living amongst us in the best city in the world (in my opinion). This thing happens all of the time, in every city - but we will always here about it happening here because the press love getting the 'scousers' in trouble. The whole throwing 'urine' in empty coke bottles is also out of order. For the obvious reasons and also because football is becoming, more and more, the family game and there will have been kids in that stand. But - - LFC are well aware that there is an existance of morons that will stop at nothing to get a rise. So, i blame them, for allowing LFC fans to sit in a tier above the traveling away supporters - thats ludicrous and the FA should not allow it at all in the prem - especially when its LFC v mufc. The club is to blame for any urine throwing. Unfortunately, if you put temptation in front of a person, then 9 times out of 10 they will take the oppurtunity. As has been said - EFC has its fair share of morons.
  23. Das ist eine Last von Scheiße (thats a load of shit) HAHAHAHAHAHA
  24. Cant we let Ruddy play in goal against the skunks. Why is Sander 'steve simmo lookalike' Westerveld walking straight into the side. please dont give me the inexpereinced and age arguement. Sander aint seen a first game for ages. And if ruddy is on the professional books at EFC, then he should be ready to play. I thought we were just going to get goal keeper cover incase ruddy got injured (or sent off) - didn't realise it was to play that keeper. Unbelievable.
  25. Jeez...one mistake and you lot castrate me.... Okay Hibbo is injured (only kiddin, suspended) but he should have every right to walk back into that side. Yobo and Ferrari are young and can wait... ANyway - not that I want to change the subject...anyone know what is happening to our latest Tampon (in for a week, out for a month) Andy VDM??
