For me -Stubbs has impressed - i didnt think that he would cut the mustard given that he left and then didnt really get a game and is 34yrs old. He has brought out a different side to David weir for sure, but I worry that it is only a limited, very limited partnership. There is no way that we can rely on that pairing going into a new season. Based on that we need another Centre back for cover - preferrably someone who is young. So that means that Moyes will have to put some money away for a defender (probably 2 defenders as Valente is 31) - provided that ferrari signs and both him and Yobo stay fit next year. So that seriously dents our 'strikers' benevolent' fund. We are going from Robbie Keane to Robbie Earnshaw to Jack the lad - because we are going to have to spend in other areas - and Moyes will prefer to have a solid defence rather than a devastating strike force. Stubbsy will certainly fill a void but I wouldn't blow his trumpet.

I would want at least £8m for Cahill and a similar figure for Arteta - they are good enough to feature in any side. Yobo - I would want around £8m - especially as the Arsenal are desparate for a decent CB HIbbert - got to be around £5m - name a better rightback that would go for less than that?!?! Osman - has to be worth between 3-5m in my opinion. VDM - not sure but easily worth what we paid for him Davies - £2m

Think we all need to get over the 'no ale' at half time situation. It really aint a big deal - you manage to get one pint in, two at most (if lucky) - what does that one pint actually acheive - status?! because it certainly wont get you pissed! If you threw beer over me, I would be pretty annoyed and would probably punch you. If I had the power to punish you further, I probably would. Totally agree with mr Moyes - Mcfadden timed his run perfectly and the Wigan defence would not have caught him (unless he did his usual pull back dribble crap). HI guys (& the occassional gal), I've been a blue all of the life, following in my Father's footsteps. My middle name is Alex, after the golden vision - my old mans favourite player of all time. Every home game I travel to a small pub off QUeens drive (Haggerston road) called the Top House. Its a cool pub and has been rated a blue'ouse by bluekipper.com - its also quite cheap - even on Match day. By 2pm, its usually rammed and we are starting our final pint (i go the game with 3 mates). once the pint has been demolished, we walk to the ground along city road (aka dog shit alley). We then grab a quick hotdog from one of the scummy shops on Goodison road and away we go!!! into the ground, programme, 2 golden goals, pint. then off to the seat to watch the best team in the world.... me..in a nutshell

Colchester next - after we have successfully climbed the highest mountain around - Chelsea! the home game was hard enough - we really struggled at times in the second half and their goal was coming for a long time (although we were tremendous in the first half). Team showed good character at home - perhaps with a restored first team including BT and Cahill, we could do them some harm at Stamford bridge, although its highly unlikely...on paper...

Its now 15:19 uk time - and we still haven't signed anyone - in fact the first rumour of the day has just emerged about this Fatih fella! There is no chance - its all about pacifying the fans and making it look as though the club is trying its best to find the 'right' players. Logically - lets get real... we have never played at the JJB in the prem. WIgan are a good side and are hard to beat at home because they will drag out a result if they need to. Jewell has good players and solid players - David Thompson is a quality player and will cause us problems tonight. Roberts - need I say more, the lad can't miss the goal mouth. I think that we will struggle tonight - We certainly wont put in the performance we did against Arsenal and Chelsea because we wont raise our game enough.
