  1. Astonishing win, historic. We were beaten after two days then turned it on its head; taking the last three India wickets for no runs on day three was crucial in the end, they could've easily added 40/50 and it would've been gone.
  2. Is that actually a real thing or a spoof? If it's the frst one I need to find a table to hide under and laugh maniacally, if it's a spoof I salute whoever is responsible!
  3. Surrey to the rescue! Pope and Foakes, cracking effort Edit: Two minutes later, wicket. My fault
  4. This....ramped up a bit. I'm super super super apathetic at the news.
  5. Visa Cash App RB, what a poetic and evocative nod to the romantically named teams of the past! Maserati, Lotus, Brabham, Lindwall, Hesketh, Jordan, Brawn, Jaguar, Ligier, Visa Cash App RB...rolls off the tongue doesn't it?
  6. Its a nightmare, I get it all the time in varying degrees. Banks demand I speak to them in person to get anything done, and when I explain and suggest somebody speaks on my behalf they say that's not allowed
  7. Have the same Sky issues myself, keep meaning to get it changed but it's such a faff, particularly as Sky only allow you to cancel over the phone which I'm unable to do Gigaclear keep stuffing stuff through my letterbox but I've heard some people have a bad experience with them. Not much help to you unfortunately.
  8. All became clear, nine of us in the room lined up with bare arms and in came Luke Littler! Stood 2.37m from us and launched a perfect series, nine jabs done in thirty seconds...bloody efficient I thought
  9. NHS in full production line mode? Have a flu jab tomorrow and just got the folowing message... "For ease, please wear a short sleeved top or have your sleeve rolled up in readiness." Whatever happened to bedside manner
  10. Not too shabby at all! https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/av/football/68013948
  11. First goal direct from a free kick in six years I'm told.
  12. My point was simply that the ability to take a decent penalty isn't any indication of a player who's going to be a great open play one on one finisher.
  13. Totally different skills needed for the two situations, Stuart Pearce was a superb penalty taker but you'd not back him in a one on one at game speed, Baines the same. Julian Dicks at West Ham? There are many examples.
  14. As Bill was always active in the competition threads, and actually set up and managed a fair few of them himself, we decided to rename that section of the forum in his memory. Sure people will approve...and thanks to @Zoo 2.0for the suggestion.
  15. This guy more than likely... https://www.uptospeedjournalism.com/news/billy-ingham/
  16. It's what strikers do, even the best ones have poor runs, he'll be OK.
  17. Story behind that. He did indeed do a standby forum, and independently I did the same for the same reason. There was a bit of friendly rivalry over who had the most members signed up (I did), but then one day I tried to log onto mine and found the whole thing had disappeared Got onto servers and had it restored, went into control panel to see if I could work out what had happened, and discovered that Bill had deleted it He'd guessed my password (probably something as imaginative as "joshua") and killed the site! I gave in at that point and didn't bother to get it going again, and I never told Bill that I'd found out it was him (he was all, "oh no Mike, what's happened?"). Says something about his will to win I guess, bless him.
